If you dont plan on tracking it, it will only cause headache. Getting something simply becauseracecar, and then not racecaring it... will just cost you money and be an annoyance.

Thanks man.

IMHO I think you'd be very happy with the PSSs. I would have put them on my Z had it not been for the fact that I do track my Z a couple of times per year and don't daily drive my Z. Plus, I very much like the stickiness of the RE-11s at the cost of lower mileage out of the tires. I think Randy managed to get 8K with his PSS and that was with lots of spirited driving. Your mileage on PSSs would vary accordingly as with any tire dependent upon your driving style.

any recommended sellers besides tirerack?

4r3s 03-25-2013 11:05 AM

I went with these last time Bridgestone*Potenza S-04 Pole Position

was happy with them, did the job pretty well. the PSS are rated to last a little bit longer and aren't That much more expensive.

Do you have a Costco membership? They go on sale there regularly from time to time and you can get upwards of $100.00 off when they are. Steve and Randy have them as well as Shahid so they should be able to share their sources as well.

Discount Tire Direct also carries PSS.

I ordered mine from Mr. Tire and it ended up being like $100 cheaper than TireRack.

I got Pilot Sport A/S Plus | Michelin Tires from costco.

I only got 2 rear tires.. I have about 500 miles on the tires so far and I like them. I do DD the Z for the most part.. I do not track the Z at all..

@ costco they were 520 ish for the 2 tires on the car with road hazard etc...

I would have liked to move these to the front in after 5k miles and get wider tires for the back but seems costco wont do it..
