Make sure you make a block off plate for him. The 34 row will pretty much overcool the oil unless you're driving it hard in the summer or on the track. DD'd my Z in the summer with it and couldn't even get temps up to 180 with normal driving.

I'm gonna be honest with you Dee, just listen to what I tell you. You absolutely do not need an oil cooler in this area unless you track your car. Even with 100 degree heat and heavy traffic, my temps never reached the point where an oil cooler was necessary. The only time I got close outside of the track was the one cruise we did in the summer when it was like 100 degrees. Even then, I shifted up 1 gear and was ok in a couple mins. An oil cooler for you would be a complete waste of money.

Marlon Wayans? :excited:

Not All Z's are the same. Mine would hit 240° just cruising along at 70 miles per hour in weather over 85°. ANY spirited driving would easily drive it to 250°.

With the oil cooler I can still make mine hit 240° pretty easily... 260° now takes some work... I am probably going to vent my fenderwell this summer.

:iagree: In AZ (Avg temps during cruises were between 80-100*f) would easily spike up to 240 or higher depending on the grade we were traveling.

Oil coolers are good, that's why they make different sizes. A 19 row would probably work fine, and he can still make the block off plate and only remove it when he plans on cruses/tracking.

awesome! scan or take a pic of that time sheet!

I posted this in the 1/4 drag sub-forum but here it is:

I think I was a shifting a bit too early, around 6900 or right at 7k, just old habit. pretty sure I could launch harder too but only two runs so first one was about 1500 rpm 2nd run I spun when I accidently smashed my foot to the floor cuz I missed the light, it caught me off guard ;)

So what are the "Correct" shift points 1-4? I'm assuming you launch at ~2000...
