A better option might be Koni yellow shocks if you're adamant about not lowering the car. You keep the stock springs (and ride height) but replace the dampers with the much better Konis (that will over a range of rebound adjustment).

I think I'd rather go the V3 coilover at max height or just under it.

Started talking to the gf about FI mods last night, her first question was "how long will it be in the shop" and once i explained the magnitude she said, (direct quote) "f you and f that car" and stomped upstairs.
