Occoquan Regional Park in Occoquan, VA on July 14th. Trying to get a rough headcount right now.

We are at ~10 right now. I think it'd be safe to plan for ~25 or so.

Well I have the option to reserve from 9-3:30 or 3:30-sunset, or the full day. I will reserve the full day.

My guess is we arrive around 10-11am and just stay til whenever.

It's easy as ****. 95 south to 123. Go over the bridge, hook a right into the park and WHAM! you're there.

have you driven any of 495 going east or west recently? Its not that its turn wise difficult its just so much construction and traffic causes ridiculous back ups. I went to lake anna last weekend supposed to be a 2 hr drive took 5 hours bc of dc. And it doesnt stop after dc its bad all the way down past fredericksburg. And time of day makes little difference, it sucks 24/7.

We sat in long delays to get to Sandy Point last year and still came.

Cost of the reservation for the full day is $136.50, so we'll split that up when we get a good idea of how many will be there.

I am sure we will be grilling for lunch and probably for an early dinner for those of us that will stay a while.

MDers, you are welcome to come to VA earlier in the morning and hang out at my apartment for a while if you want to try to beat traffic.

I think I'm just in a complaining mood. I'll get over it. By the time this comes around I'll have forgotten how much the drive sucked and be okay with it. Its just too fresh in my head from the past weekend.

i have a drag racing event that weekend sooo i'm on the fence about coming :( i may skip it and come down. that park is only like 20 minutes from my cousins house down there. i may just go to his place friday night then come down to this saturday. maybe i can convince my cousin to bring his G37 out that he put away after he bought his BMW550 then his Audi A7 lol.
