This place is the best price, easily. But, their stock is EXTREMELY limited when they do pop up. And, many FFL places REFUSE to deal with them.

When I called 2A Sales today, they refused to accept my order. I inquired ask to why, and he said: "Because websites like those are there specifically to put people like me out of business."

Well, sorry, sir - Best Buy: Meet Amazon.com?

I said, "Wow, uhm...don't I feel like an a-hole now...sorry man..."

He quickly responded with, "Yup! Good luck!" *click*

Was NOT pleased with that.

What shop was this that you got this good deal?

Nevermind, you posted the link in previous page. thanks.

BTW, that FFL dealer lists 2A Sales. 2A simply refuses to deal with online gun clearing house websites.

NP, but I wouldnt just keep checking that website. I sat on slickguns.com for days, in the handgun section, refreshing as often as I can. The deals appear, and the nicer more desirable pistols can be gone within an hour or two.

yeah, they aren't all great options.

I tend to work with people that do transfers for a living or pawn shops. Much less hassle than going through a gun store, and you don't catch any flack when you go to pick it up.

All gun store salesmen seem to have attitudes, or is it just me? Almost every single one I've gone to, I feel like they are condescending.

There's definitely two types of people that wind up working at gun stores.

One is really cool and humble, the other is exactly like you describe.

Freestate Gun Range (new place up near me, in White Marsh) seems pretty cool so far. But I had high-hopes for 2A to be a stand-up place, and he just treated me like a ****. I was tempted to say, "Oh, yeah, so you remember when I got that shotgun from you a little over a month ago? You're welcome"

eastwest2300 03-14-2013 05:51 PM

They're just mad because you saved money..

You are exactly right. And I got it from the same place they would have, had I not gotten it first. Woe is them.

:roflpuke2: they're mad because you took their profit, I dont know why they get mad, they still make money off the transfer and doing the actual paperwork. Its such a rip off.

For every shop trying to "fight the good fight" and protest these websites (that they use themselves), there's probably 50 others that give no f-cks and just do the FFL.

Honestly, I feel less sympathy now that I think about it, because these other places make cash off of selling other things, like a generic sportsman shop or whatever. Not just a 100% dedicated gun shop. Their income source is so specific, it's like opening a Brick and Mortar store selling only televisions and TV accessories, in a world where you can find great deals online if you have a good eye. So why should I feel bad for them?

Of course, the answer is that I don't.
