while i was working on my dd yesterday, despite the washes and all during winter,
i noticed so much rust on my brakes. :icon08: like my calipers were rusted, obviously
the center of the rotors were rusted and all. :barf: and this is a 2012... only 2 winters.

so glad i dont drive my Z or G in the winter.

beaters in the winter FTW!

For the first time since owning my Z I permitted an outfit to detail my ride.

$200 was to cover a hand wash, clay bar, polish, wax and interior detail.

Discovered remnants of dead bug splatter on my hood and they didn't bother to detail the trunk. So...pop the trunk later on annnnnd water runs all down the side of the car... WTH?

Job took just under 2 hours to complete, which was interrupted early on with rain that quickly cleared.

Excuse for missing the trunk detail "Sorry, got sidetracked by the rain, I'll give you some money off on your next detail".

Thoughts? Opinions? Would you permit them to touch your car again? Did they do all the work that was supposed to be done in two hours' time? Could it have possibly been done properly, considering the remaining bug guts??

kenchan 08-14-2014 06:29 PM

2hrs is how long it takes for me to just wash a car and dry completely.

my full details take over 20hrs each.. another reason why it's not worth my time to motor my Z or G in the rain. :D

I'd ask for a partial refund and take my future business elsewhere. Just my 2 cents.

I like watching all the people walk by, boarding the plane, as I am comfortably settled in first class with my tunes, crossword and complimentary foot rubs.

I am too tall to turn around in the lavatory. I have to make sure to take care of that kind of business before I get on the plane. I tried dropping my pants first and then backing into the head, but the stewardesses freaked out.

I do not know. There is a great deal of rice grown here, so maybe the canals are part of that.
