Neighbor mowing lawn

Anyone can guess what that tud sound is early in the video? I think she hit the body with the wire ******* hate that *****. she's been ******* with us since day one. I'm going to buy security cameras for the house. Her cat poops in front of our house, she is removing the fence once piece at a time and trying to make me pay for a new one. she's always complaining about something. Anyone knows how to deal with someone like this? she keeps saying her son is a lawyer wtf does that even mean

Update: went and talked to her, just wanted to see what she says. This shows how little some care for other's property.

I shortened the recording because she kept going on and on about other random non-sense. I even told her about the cat sh*t which she said your dogs bark and I don't say anything

Was she mowing your part of the lawn?

My brother had an issue where the neighbors dog keep crapping in his yard. He asked a few times that they don't let the dog do that. It continued to happen. He scooped a fresh pile and smacked it over their car's hood. No more issues to this day.

Not so sure I would take that route but it worked for him.

Here kitty kitty. Let's play dot the cat with a paint ball gun. Had a neighbor's cat that was spraying my front porch and the wheels on my Power Wagon. Lit his a$$ up one morning. :D The critter hasn't been back since. :D

zefaulter 06-15-2014 07:43 AM

Just checked the car and she scratched it. How the hell am I gonna prove she did it?

Well those scratches will come out luckily...
The thud is probably the mower throwing loose soil/rocks/debris onto your car. She also could be flinging that huge extension cord onto your car. One or the other. By the looks of her you got a load on your hands! I would get what I need on video...have it in my back pocket just in case. Also why not just put in a fence on the border of your driveway that is on her side. That should separate you from the wildlife. ID rather she damages a fence than a Z

Rusty 06-15-2014 08:53 AM

Tell her that you would like to talk to her son. If you do. Tell him what's going on. Be nice about it. And tell him that you what to be a good neighbor. She's an old studa-bubda that thinks that everyone should kiss her feet. I got a few of those in my hood too. They're a pain to deal with. Sat on my front porch one day, cleaning my AR15. Made sure that the one seen me there doing it. Then had a few of my motorcycle buddies show up afterwards. Haven't heard a word from her since. :D Put the fear of god in to her, in a round about way. :D I'm still working on the others ones.

Tell me about it man. This house is temporary, I'd rather not spend money on it that has no return. I'm hoping to move in a couple of years.
I can't believe I used to help her mow her lawn, shovel her driveway. I hate old people who think the world is theirs and theirs only

this is Canada rusty, I can't be cleaning no gun in front of old people but that's a great idea lmao wish I could do that

You saying that the lawn adjacent to your driveway is the property line. Hard to believe that this is the property line separating the homes. I would think a some amount of feet on that side is part of your property lot. If so, tell her not to mow there.

EDIT: Looking across the street, the home placement on the lot would make sense that the side of the driveway is the property line.

RonRizz 06-15-2014 11:25 AM

Like she said...Don't park so tight to her side. Otherwise, you're at the risk of these stupid things happening. She flat out told you she doesn't care about your car. Some people are just downright disrespectful, and you should do all you can to protect yourself from it.
Sorry about your damage, by the way. that sucks.
Edit: The cat...... put a shitload of mouse traps in your grass for a few days. bye bye cat....

kenchan 06-15-2014 11:36 AM

wow electric mower... lol

ip cameras are your friend. you can use software based dvr.
GL with your neighbor. i live with idiots in my community too... :ugh:

and as ron mentioned, park farther away from the lawn. even if the mower didnt hit
your car, debris from the mower can.

scorp38 06-15-2014 11:39 AM

Dig a 6ft deep hole and bury her and her cat in it solved.

zefaulter 06-15-2014 12:00 PM

Great suggestions but I like my freedom.
I won't harm the cat, it's not the cat it's the stupid owner. Only option I have at this point is small claims court. Too much headache so I'm just gonna forgive and forget

Wish I could park farther. most of my driveway is single car wide. I'm getting 8ch security cameras when I'm back next week. I'll be sure to point 2 of them where she crawls

SouthArk370Z 06-15-2014 03:38 PM

As I see it, you have two choices: accommodate or retaliate.

If she's a doddering old lady, I suggest moving the car away from the property line; maybe even park elsewhere when she is mowing or doing other yard work in the area.

If she's doing it on purpose, retaliation seems appropriate to me. But I tend to be an anti-social SOB. ;)

I agree. She seems to have her own idea of where her boundaries are, and they don't seem to align with reality or convention very well.

The difficulty with retaliation here is that OP will have to be prepared for escalation, which could go nuclear with this lady. I try (unsuccessfully) to pick my battles wisely. I think I'd lean toward avoiding this one.

Solomatrix 06-15-2014 05:14 PM

Sorry you have a bad neighbor :(

Zoren 370 06-15-2014 05:18 PM

I do agree with fuzzzy.... just let it go. I believe you have the most sane mind might as well give in and just park your car farther. Think of it as she your grandmother too.

In my opinion no point of wasting your youth over her as there are far more productive thing and socially uplifting things to do than arguing with an obviously unreasonable elder.

Just give her...her due respect it wont hurt you. Btw i didn't mean you disrespected her but you know what i mean.

Amj2020 06-15-2014 07:41 PM

Yup she is guilty as sin based on her responses. Either way, you aren't changing this cold war old woman she has probably seen some $hit. I say get a cheap fence put in, preferably vinyl and draw a battle line. You can be sure she's going to be gunning for that car next mow. Her son may be a lawyer but he could help his mom mow her lawn or at least hire someone to do it geez. Switch the Z spot with that other car, or park the Z on your lawn away from the crazy foreign lady.

quickboat 06-15-2014 08:00 PM

Might want to look into some 6' concrete parking blocks along the edge of the driveway. You can edge around them for her if you want but she will not be able to mow close to your car anymore. You will only need a couple of them up where you park the car. Don't listen to the "escalators" it is a no win. Even small claims wont give you her SS check.

Mr&Mrs 06-15-2014 08:25 PM

No one has mentioned this yet. Can you just offer to cut the section yourself? Or ask her if it would be to much trouble to give you a call or knock so you can move your car. Old people may be thick headed but if there is one thing I have always been able to do, is come to a mutual respect.

Your doing the right thing by staying calm some other things mentioned could land you straight in jail or fined and I doubt are true. I have done some crazy thing but no one will ever know.

Offer to take out her trash can or bring it up for her after it gets picked up. Little gestures like this go a long way with the older generations.

Limeybastard 06-15-2014 10:04 PM

Just leave it alone man. Ive been there myself in that sort postion when I lived in England. Just ask her when she mows lawn and on that day stay well away! Leave the poor granny alone, I am sure she did hit your car and I am also sure she was the one that scratched your bumper. It was not on purpose, just out of dimentia ;)

I have mowed her lawn numerous times, I have also shoveled her driveway when it's snowed. I think she just forgets the things I have done. I actually hurt myself trying to shovel her driveway few months ago.

This all started with her sneaking pieces of fence out, slowly removing the structure. She kept asking me to build a new fence and pay for it too and my dogs are supposed to be fenced in. I'm tired of her ****. My grandma is much much nicer

Charles Manson is much much nicer. What a bag.

InnerDragon10 06-17-2014 05:12 PM

You're a better person than I. I'd have poured brake fluid on her car (if she has one) and 'removed' the cat. Just saying. No one - NO ONE - disrespects my property. Good luck though!

Haha! If you think long term, brake fluid doesn't get me anywhere. I may have to talk to her son to see what we can do to stop her nonsense. I'm not sure how he will react but I'm gonna stay positive until then

zefaulter 07-08-2014 07:47 PM

Nope. I could make her through the city but I don't want her owning half the fence. As of right now, she has no say in how the fence will look or how high it will be. It'll be as high as I legally can erect it as per local bylaw ;). she looked pissed when she saw them put these long posts in :icon17: pretty satisfying moment I must admit. once the rest is up, goodbye old *****

falconfixer 07-08-2014 10:04 PM

It'd be a damn shame if the builders left a bunch of nails on her side in the driveway and yard and what not.

Solomatrix 07-08-2014 10:07 PM

**** her right in the pussy

kenchan 07-09-2014 03:15 PM

i would paint her side shocking pink and sticker bomb it, and leave your side a nice wooden color.

How do I paint it without going to her side?

SouthArk370Z 07-09-2014 07:39 PM

"Good fences make good neighbors." ;)

Edit: Paint "her" side before putting up the boards/slats/panels.

Fuzzzy 07-11-2014 02:13 PM

Great solution!

I'm no fence-expert, so I don't know what the finished product will look like. If it were me, I'd be damned sure there are no openings near ground-level where she can maliciously aim her discharge from her lawn-mower or other weapons toward your driveway.
