What pics fail to describe is what was the cause of that? There's no way to prove that that tire tore like that simply because of stretching it.(Just like all the rota pics where they are broken, theres no story behind it) Yes there is a recommended tire size for each size wheel, but i can bet that if i post a 10" with a 305 on it everyone would be like OMGBBQ that's amazing even though that's not "recommended". Just because something is recommended doesn't mean you can't do it. Like i said people have been doing the for YEARS, if it was THAT dangerous we'd be seeing stories of it all the time. And as far as %, sure it's smaller but like i said i haven't seen one case personally of someone blowing a tire simply because they stretched it. 99% of drivers don't drive testing their tires full potential, the the little performance that i do lose most drivers wouldn't even notice a difference. I'm not trying convince anyone to stretch it's obviously not for everyone, just trying to educate on false impressions...

I read the thread & wasn't particularly bothered by anything said.
To those who reported posts, thank you for calling my attention to the thread. To those who were... opinionated-- no one is stopping you from posting your opinion. With that said, there's a way to post as such without making yourself look silly. Remember the Golden Rule? It even applies on teh intern3tz. One may dislike something they see online, but there are better ways to convey that emotion without denigrating an entire race. Regarding the car-- the point of the thread-- it's not my style, but I very much appreciate it for what it is. The whole "hella flush" movement, in my opinion, works much better for luxury cars. On this car, I especially like the stance/ wheels/ etc. Stretched tires scare me, but I dig it here. All that said, the thread has run its course. Closed. |
