If anything this has now become a personal attack.

Your right his pics are posted somewhere on this forum so do yourself a favor and go post in that part of the forum instead of hijacking someone elses thread.

The only child in here is you.

WTF Sam. You wouldn't do that on your site would you? Rifling through other's pictures? That's a personal attack, that took research. I guess Frost had a point when he didn't want to post pics up of his new Z, for fear of what people would do with them.

You aren't a mod here, but that is totally uncalled for behavior on this site or yours.

Opinions were asked for, and people were being honest, and trying to inject some humor in their comments. Too bad every one is so sensitive they can't take criticism or a joke.

Not cool. :shakes head:

2theextreme 09-15-2009 10:59 PM

Yeah....like last night....I was called a clown who likes cocaine! Did I get pissed? No way....I found out who this clown is and posted a video! Funny thing is....I DO look like this clown!!

If my post was mis-interpreted as a personal attack for that I apologize. To be honest I didn't dig up anything, a link was posted on myG37 to this thread and after they saw all the hate they decided to research the hater to see how "credible" he was. It got them curious what Frost drove that's all. I just copied the pic here lol whatever it's childish either way.

But Shane is a well respected member just like Frost is on here and all the others. All I was trying to say, there's way of voicing your opinion that's all. Had that hella flush ride been a 370Z of someone on here, I'm sure opinions would have been stated in a very different manner.

Pushing_Tin 09-16-2009 02:55 AM

Wow IBTL, I think it's ugly and completely useless for transportation, but whatever floats your boat I guess. It would be a boring world if we all liked the same things.

Sam you started the BS.

ShanesG's Hella Flush & Bagged G35 Coupe / Marcus Cooke Photography - Page 4 - MyG37

If you didn't want to stir things up, you wouldn't have posted that.

On top of that, they posted Frost's personal picture. Wow that's ban worthy if I ever saw it. Seriously poor taste.

Not only that, but you bash our moderators?

That thread needs to be deleted, and perhaps so does this one.

You only encouraged the disrespect.

IBTL. Bullshit.

Wow some real punk azz comments over there. I don't see any haters here, we just think it's ugly, who the eff cares. Are people that insecure that they have to pull up pictures of people and make fun of them? Are they in junior high school? Pathetic.

I just edited out my posts and deleted the attacking posts there. Seems like it's one big misunderstanding.

Again, I really didn't intend to attack. Just saying you guys were too harsh on him that's all. Doesn't matter anyways.

Cheers,

Couple quick things and I'll wash my hands of this because I have a policy of not keeping harsh feelings in places I like to spend my time.

I thought this was some wheel-vendor's car, not a board member who obviously invested lots of money. I actually liked the wheels and the car, just not the fitment; it seems impractical for anything other than a show car (which maybe it is, I don't know).
I have edited my comments to reflect my actual feelings on the wheels, and not my "humorous" comments, which were lost on you because you don't know me, while others I believe got that I was just messing around. If you had approached the situation differently, I think we could have come to a much better resolution, in our past encounters; you have seemed like a fine guy.
However, I heard about your post over on your board. If you have further stuff to say and post, don't hide it over there where you think I won't see. Feel free to PM me to keep the drama out of the board.

not sure where you get that. I would call you uneducated for stretching tires to their max with the obvious safety hazards long before I would call anyone else in this thread uneducated. (except nogood, he's our special friend) :rofl2:

Daily driving that thing ok so far? great, glad you haven't had anything serious happen, but it is only a matter of time til those seals break and blow a tire.

I don't mind the slammed look with lots of camber, it actually looks really good on a lot of cars. It's the 245 wide tire on the 12" wheel that just doesn't look right (or drive right for that matter). and yes, I have exaggerated the sizes...

shabarivas 09-16-2009 01:47 PM

Ha ha ... figured you would find your way in here shane - it was only a matter of time... But yea... Looks like a lot of people here are on the function > form bandwagon... but to each their own right?

And yes - G35s are pig slow lol.. but they do look oh-so-sexy :)

theDreamer 09-16-2009 01:57 PM

ShanesG, while I believe people can do what they want with what they own, but I would be concerned about the tires on those rim causing an issue while driving. The tire has very little seal to the wheel which if caught on the wrong surface or changes slightly you are going to be in for a major problem. Not just for you but other drivers around you which becomes a safety concern.

frost 09-16-2009 02:04 PM

Not touching this again with a 10-foot poll. To each their own, all that matters is you dig it. Cheers. :tiphat:

Again yes, uneducated. People have been daily driving with stretch tires for alot of years. It's just fairly new to these cars which is why i understand alot of people are again uneducated on stretched tires. People drift at 40+mph on more stretch than i have. I have Yet to see one case of someone's bead breaking and blowing a tire. Even if you could show me once case of that it still wouldn't mean much, i could show you handfuls of people blowing tires on regular "in-spec" sizes.

People are quick to say it's a hazard, but 90% of the people are just "guessing" that and only saying because of what other non-educated people are saying/telling them, and have no hard evidence that it is indeed such a hazard that it be so dangerous to drive on.

It's all good that peple don't like the look, i mean there's alot of styles that i shake my head at but i at least make a point to learn about what im talking about if im gonna criticize something to the point your calling someone "stupid". There are so many different style of modding out there and most of them i personally think are ugly, for instance frost's car, you couldn't pay me to drive that, yeah ok it's his wifes choice in whees, nice excuse, i would laugh at my gf if she tld me she wanted those, but w/e floats his boat right lol.If something is done right and clean i will say i wouldn't do it but also am open to all modding and if done right i do give prop's.

There is a recommended tire size listed on the manufactures tire specificatiosn for a reason. They aren't made to be run on wider or narrower wheels, and it will affect the handling characteristics of said tire to do so.

yes, people blow out tires on hard pot-holes all the time, but think percentages. the percentage of people on stretched tires with failures is going to be much higher than those without.

It's one thing to say "that's not my style, I wouldn't drive it"...it's a whole other issue to say "There's no way in hell I am riding in that car, I value my life"...

Not guessing, it has been shown that driving like that is dangerous and as time goes on you are more likely to have a problem. Now I will say many roads today are much better than years ago, but it does not mean it is any safer than before (correlation between the two at most).
