Jasper(Resident Evil Edition, and newer models only and ones with a certain Amperage..) is only way to avoid RROD

I'm on my fourth xbox. 3 RRODs and one time it just froze and never unfroze. I've had it horizontal most of the time, but I've put it vertical as well. I had problems with the tray getting stuck when it was vertical though, so i've left it horizontal ever since. It's been 6 months since my last rrod and I'm getting a bit nervous.

wow this thread scares me lol glad i didn't get a 360...ps3 ftw lol (not intending to start a flame war or debate so don't f'in try, i respect the 360 and the people who have them)

Jasper heatsink will help avoid the RROD, but I put in 2 XCM fans to cool the CPU and GPU. Also I have upgraded my fans that blow the air out and it has about 10 different variable speeds. Also, I added 2 thermometers to the GPU and CPU with an LCD readout to monitor the temps so the RROD won't happen again

Lol.. Just sink the whole thing in Liquid Nitrogen... you wont ever have a problem =P

I don't think keeping your xbox vertical or horizontal have anything to do with RROD. I keep mine horizontal.

X2 it has to deal with the something over heating and it would do it either way. Some of the RROD where from using it online. I have mine for sale and vertical. :p

9 processors get hot, and they need their airflow.

I think the cell processor is only 6 not 9

It is the GPU that is over heating. I do like the old fashion missionary style

Well it is 9 but you are correct in that only 6 of the SPE's are accessible to game developers. One big one and 8 bitty ones :D

I have gone through 5 xbox 360 (thank god for best buy warranty) but after the warranty ended I just open mines up and fix it myself, but yea doesn't matter which way you put it it comes down to luck, which I didn't have much of.
