awesome man... dude, the head unit turned out fantastically... the rear view camera is badass... I like it bro. Still trying to figure out all the features, but it definitely makes me want to drive the Z a lot more.

My cousin works at Gentex and got me one of the rear view mirrors with the little lcd screen in it although I have been looking at Head units for a bigger screen to use with the camera. Decisions, decisions.

I'm on stock speakers too, BUT i will be upgrading to a kicker set, without an amplifier, Im already going deaf.

I like the whole video screen in the center console... its just really nice, in my opinion.

Ken saan, whats up with that speed sensor wire though, any insight?

eastwest2300 04-09-2014 06:54 PM

yah, my 18v impact came in real handy when i had to remove the factory nut on the steering column. :D sure beats not having to have to hold the steering wheel real tight while breaking loose that center nut. lol

im not using it on my car, but i think it can raise the volume when you reach a certain speed. i think it was like 45mph or something. im not sure if the Z's base HU supports it though... i know my G's bose supports it but imho it's really annoying so i dont use that feature.

yah, if one's using a lot of force to do work on the car, he's doing it wrong. lol

eastwest2300 04-09-2014 06:58 PM

Dude, Im pretty sure its for the GPS feature, I'm actually like 80% sure of that. Your speed integrated with the GPS really locks down the specifics of your trip, i.e. expected time of arrival based off the speed your going.

yah, why use a breaker bar with cheater pipe for suspension mods when you can use a high power impact gun with zero effort and zero chance of rounding a nut unless you totally suckarse? :icon17: lol
