I'm not sure but I think the 800 lb one should be plenty. My next options up are like 1000 then 2000 lbs. The options below 800 are practically in increments of 100 down to 400 lbs.

Yes.

so in other news, while i was doing the momo knob install win+1 last night on my G, since i had the shift trim off the car, i dug my hand up the dash to just under the HU where i was hearing a light buzzing noise at certain rpm under normal acceleration.

found a loose fuse holder from the stereo wire harness so taped that up. hopefully tomorrow during the test drive, i will not hear that buzzing any more. :D

oh i see.. yah, i cant see that tranny weighting 800lbs so should be okay?
im thinking maybe 300lbs? something nismo can just hold with his bare hands while doing the csc service with his other hand lol

2 more weeks.......

kenchan 04-11-2014 01:30 PM

so many things to test tomorrow...

steering wheel, steering wheel angle (i have a daikei as01 adjustment ring between the momo and worksbell to adjust steering angle as my G's steering is slightly cocked towards 11 o'clock that i can fix), steering feel, new shift knob feel, and buzz noise eliminate. :p

kenchan 04-11-2014 01:32 PM

mr.alcheng- nice!

kenchan 04-11-2014 01:34 PM

i too was considering a bbk on my G since im running those heavy wheels now... but the spokes take off angle is so low i only have like 5mm clearance from the brembo calipers. i dont know the exact back spacing dim.

i dont think i can even fit our Z's akebono's under there if i got infiniti logo'ed ones. oh well. guess use the $5K on my next car. :icon17:

kenchan 04-11-2014 02:12 PM

oh yah, while i was removing the stock 370Z knob from my G last night, i had to use a strap wrench and my channellock with protector to hold the shaft from under the shift trim.

it brought back BAD memories... :ugh2: :rofl2:

no, i did not break my strap wrench, no i did not scratch my Z knob.

:icon18: you might get lucky and have a knob without too much threadlock on it. :D

the knob i was using in my G i bought from a local Z guy. he was able to get his off without much force.

yah, same with my fit. i run the factory leather knob on mine. was a easy 1-2-3. no need to hold the shaft either. :icon17:

i think the stock z knob is real nice though. unless you got like scratches or something on yours, i'd just keep it stock.
