Perusing espresso makers. Geez, there's TONS to choose from and they vary immensely in price.

Any connoisseurs here that can suggest an entry level unit?

alphajam 01-20-2014 09:59 PM

It's for handing out reps to people. Click on someone's post and give em props.

Be sure to tell em gave em the rep so they can return the favor.

:iagree:

make sure you sign your name so you can get repaid, a nameless rep goes un answered

So how do I know if anything happened? Like what is the purpose?

a message will pop up after you gave that person a "rep" .. " thanks for adding to .... .....'s " reputation and some other stuff

the purpose of it is simple........ respect.

Cool, this is the first forum I've been on that had that. Past forums used the "Likes" thing, but I see we also have that.

I don't mean that it originated with me.. I mean that I started doing this action that is known, in some small circles, as "repping".

Schumacher's

and the Family isn't giving too much right now.

but ... here's the little bit we know as of a couple days ago..

"....
Michael Schumacher's condition is no longer critical, his management announced in a statement.

For the first time since his skiing fall almost three weeks ago, the 45-year-old German's condition was described on Friday simply as "stable", although he remains in coma.

"Michael's family is very happy and confident with the work of the team of doctors treating Michael, and they trust them completely," said the seven time world champion's manager, Sabine Kehm.

Kehm dismissed reports of recent days suggesting the great former Ferrari and Mercedes driver might never emerge from his coma, or that if he does, he will not not recover to full health.

"Unfortunately I have to repeat that any information regarding Michael's health not coming from the doctors treating him or from his management must be treated as pure speculation," she said.

I used to be religious about it as well. It's not as easy to do on an ipad as a PC tho and I'm woefully behind on reps.

So it's not a medical induced coma? Dang, its so weird that a guy that drives and makes decisions at super human levels gets into an accident like this.

as far as i know, its a medically induced coma yes. to prevent/lessen swelling in the brain and further damage.

IMO - Not really that surprised. His "super human levels" was driving a high performance car, here he was a middle age guy on a difficult section of the mountain when he crashed skiing. If you ski or snowboard (I do) you will know it is far more dangerous to be doing 120+km/hour down a hill then racing on a track much easier to slip up or have something unexpected come up on you on the hill. On a race track the roads are perfectly paved and they train on the course for countless laps before the big show/challenge. I fell a lot safer in my car at high speeds then I do on my snowboard going balls to the wall/flat out down some hills. But then again that is part of the fun having the rush of just flying down the hill and the adrenaline pumping the whole way down!

I know that's right. Anything can go bad at any time.. cars are designed to protect the driver in a crash.. snowboards aren't. :roflpuke2:
