once the note is played, the sample is in the ram so it wouldnt matter 7200rpm or ssd. if i had ssd, im thinking i would have no drop outs though, even while the fresh sample data is being called out to the ram.

SSDs are baller!

yah, i was looking at this small 120gb one on amazon. i already have the 7200rpm adapter inside my MBP which i can reuse. :D

Amazon.com: Crucial M500 240GB SATA 2.5-Inch 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal Solid State Drive CT240M500SSD1: Computers & Accessories

right now my roundtrip latency is 6.2ms @64samples which is pretty good for a 7200rpm running a 3yr old computer.

i think with the ssd i can probably do 6.xms running 128samples.

No, just the weather is great so I guess it's affecting my mood......?

I've been wanting to buy some wine but I was on two meds last week that interacted poorly with it. Now I just need to figure out when I can a.) afford it and b.) skip a day of meds.

Yeah, good weather = good mood. Except when you have boring roads like Phoenix. :(

Too cold now to go back up North for some fun.

 cool.

i put in 8G in there just in case for ram. activity monitor shows about 5GB used for the sound samples temporary stored in there. :D

I'd like to upgrade my Air with a bigger SSD and 8gbs of RAM, but after doing research, I hear its almost impossible because everything is soldered in place.
