hey EW

yah, the main reason why i spent the money on training and tools for PDR was i too can't stand dings. most scratches i can accept for some reason, but dings. :shakes head:

and im really starting to hate seeing plasti-dipped emblems. i see them on camry's, TL's... just looks so damn cheap. :shakes head: it's a fad that needs to go. like them euro tail lights from early 2000's.

Dude, its just the thought that, that azzhole doesnt give a sh1t about your car, that he/she would just bang up against yours is bullsh1t.. That really irks me. I'd never do that to someone elses car.

yah, the more reasons why i have a dd. :icon17: some dings are impossible to fix by PDR depending on where the ding is. best is not to get a ding to begin with.

in my area with taffyapples all over, they open their suv doors WIDE. if they still can't get out, they will push the door open and ive seen some fat lady rock a maxima parked next to her cause she couldn't get out. was like a 8" crease on the maxima front door. :shakes head:

it's safer to park next to a minivan (with sliding doors) as long as you're not parked near the front passenger door. :D

Sometimes you just gotta give local PD a call, and tell them whats up.

ohhhhh nooo, an 8" crease... :ugh2::ugh2::ugh2:

that's a good idea. :D

yah, most creases are fixable by PDR, but once the metal is stretched like that, it will never be the same. :shakes head:

ahh, mid door should be fine. dont touch it and let the PDR tech fix it cause it's easier to fix a single impact ding vs distorted metal due to someone trying to fix it by pushing the wrong part of the metal. :)

aluminum is expecially hard to fix cause it's brittle. :eekdance:

i had a ding on my G earlier on the hood this year. it took a lot of force to push it back into shape. i have picts in my random picts album. :D

it looks like just a small scrape. not really a ding.. so it's just paint dmg... which I guess it ok..

Dude, we soo think a like, and its bullsh1t.. and rock chips are like crazy, i totally NEVER EVER follow behind other drivers closely, but some how, some way rock chips find a place in your bumper or hood.

One time I was getting a ride in the RR Nissan courtesy Pathfinder, and one of the older ladies riding along opened the backseat door into the adjacent vehicle (brand new with sticker on the window). Not only did she ding it upon opening, she proceeded to hold it open against the vehicle to let two people get in before her. Each time the door would shift, scratching the other car even more. It looked something like this by the time she got in the car :shakes head:

http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehou...=1258074557000

I definitely like sliding doors, though the thought of children exiting the vehicle at top speed in the Z isn't something I relish :icon17:
