12 years later, We'll always remember

EDIT:
Now we're at year 13, and we will still never forget.

It's been 12 years since that TERRIBLE day, it's been etched into our minds "September 11th".

I just wanted to take a second to think about those that lost their lives, those who lost family or friends on that day, and thank you again to all those who are/were in the armed forces.

God Bless America :usa:

Me too bro, I was in the Army stationed at Ft. Eustis VA on a QRF (Quick Reaction Force). Talk about a serious lock down.

I was working 2nd shift and got home around 3 am and was woken up by ex mother-in-law calling us at like 7 am. I called work and let them know what was up. The very next day A very large aerospace firm called our shop and basically said If you ever want to do future business you will cancel ALL contracts with us and stop all manufacturing. We all lost our jobs the next day. I was not even close to ground zero but we all felt the ripple affect all of us across America.
My heart goes out to everyone that had to experience it first hand. :usa:

Man, Im sorry to hear that man.

I remember that day-I also remember last year's attack

After the second twin tower was hit, I went outside, layed down on my deck & cried. What the hell is going on was my thought.

Last year when we got attacked in Benghazi & we didn't try to help our people, I also had the same thoughts.

At least as promised, ALL the attackers were found and justice was done. :shakes head:

That day hit me so hard, and so close to home. It still hurts like the moment I heard about the first plane. I won't talk about my life that day, because it's trivial compared to the people around me who lost loved ones.

For NY. For DC. For Pa. For America. For US.

Yeah, same, I was a lot younger then than I am now. And it was just a shock, and it probably hits me harder now than back then

It changed ME. Forever. My heart is permanently scarred.

I was at Ft. Benning GA in basic training when this happened. I was probably one of the few Americans that didn't actually see this play out in the news... just knew bits and pieces of what happened from what our Drill Sergeants told us. But I knew right then and there that not only was my life going to change, but it was going to change the entire world. RIP to all those poor innocent souls.
