For NY. For DC. For Pa. For America. For US.

Well that makes me feel like crap. I NEVER ment to compare my story and experiences with those that had to deal with it first hand! I can't imagine what that would be like. I just cant fathom that.

My coworker just told me about visiting NYC shortly after and about how there was just a hole where the twin towers were

I don't think you should feel bad for saying tha. YYou were just saying how you didn't have to be at ground zero to feel the effects. I understand what you meant. What were you manufacturing if you don't mind me asking? Your post made me really curious

My cousin Maria was lost forever on September 11th 2001. Maria called
me from her cell phone on that terrible day from her office located in
the North tower as her office was located on the 72 floor. We talked
about how it was just a fire above her location and soon the firemen
would be there to rescue her. I could hear many screams from both
men and women, Maria stated that the fire was now approaching her
floor but could go no where and she was looking out the window of
from her office. The cell phone conversation suddenly came to a end.
My family was told buy the authorities that Maria was seen in camera
footage plunging to her death from the 72nd floor. Today at church
I took a old photo of Maria and myself when we were children playing
together we were at most 10 or 11 years old and I left it at the church
this morning and drove off.

What was scary was that year (or might have been the year before) I was visiting relatives and we visited the 100th floor in the WTC where my uncle worked. It was amazing how high up it was and how far the ground was below...

That being said the morning it happened my uncle decided to go for a jog. Being OCD on his BO he decided to take a shower which made him late for work. He was actually planning on going in early too... when he was on the ferry he saw smoke coming from the building and he literally fell to his knees in disbelief. The ferry turned around and he went back home. It definitely was not his time and my family all thank our stars for his luck.

Cigar cliff, sorry for your loss brother, but thank you for sharing with us

And Mishuko... That's a trip. I don't know what I would have done if I was in his shoes...

I remember watching a show on TV that had mark whalburg and Seth MacFarlane (creator of family guy) talking about how they were supposed to be on the planes that hit the towers. But they were both running late so they took the next flight. I don't think my luck is that good

I still remember that day. I was an E-4 with a line number for E-5, and was working on a K-Loader outside my shop. All of a sudden, the installation went on Delta. I walked in the break room and thought my coworkers were watching a movie. Unfortunately, they weren't. By 2 Oct, we were already in the Middle East in support of Enduring Freedom. Those were the longest 7 months of my life.
