when i hibernate my cars, i dont fire up the car at all. the reason is oil temps take a while to reach 180F to rid moisture, plus the steam inside the mid pipe and muffler just accelerates corrosion.

so i just plug the car into my battery manager, place the car on flatstoppers at 42psi, car cover, and that's it. no starts for the 4-6months. i do turn the wheels by hand every 6-7wks just in case to prevent flat spots. :)

I think I might just try that this year. I was already eyeballin' the flatstoppers :)

Here is one example. I have seen them in two piece and once piece design. I like the one piece myself.

Man, I analyze my budget every time I make a purchase for the car. I am not rich but am comfortable. I keep thinking this $ could go into my retirement fund :icon17: I really want to be able to be that 90 yr old guy in the bar that can catch a ride home after :bowrofl:

Yeah, I usually go through a several month research on stuff, blah blah, then buy (or don't buy).

For this car it was 3yrs... until I got this new job and could afford it.

eastwest2300 09-06-2013 11:55 AM

And yet, after my buyers remorse, i've never gone back to return something... wtf.

I had a '08 350z and I blew that ride with an accident. 100% my fault and stupidity. Made me realize how much I used to take for granted. These days it's about what is sensible and would benefit me more in the long run.
Congrats on making it this far! That in itself is a very good starting point!

Haboob 09-06-2013 11:58 AM

Will they let you return a small child?

Whew, thankfully I haven't made that mistake yet, but I'm just trying to plan ahead. :icon17:

Man, I was soooo stoopid! at our engagement party her Grandmother took me aside and said, "you deserve more, she is a bitch and not worth your time." At the time I thought she was just bitter...yolk on my face :rofl2:

P.s. Her grandma spent $8 on her for Christmas, and she gave me like $1600 in tools lol

Be sure to sign up for Tigerdirect email offers. They have had good deals on 60" TVs and surround sound. Are you looking at a theater in a box type setup for surround or something more, custom?

P.S. I have a 60" LCd Tv and its HUGE, be sure to measure before buying! I didnt realize how big 60" diag. really was lol
I have a 1080p projector and usually have my PC setup to it...even having 4 virtual desktops open and a network montioring screen open, I can still have 3 more windows open without straining my eyes :icon17:

eastwest2300 09-06-2013 12:41 PM

Dude, I wouldnt measure the size of a TV, I'll MAKE room... hahhaa, the bigger the better..:roflpuke2:

LOL, When I bought the 60" I thought man this is going to fit perfect on the wall I want and enough room for tower speakers on the side...I was way wrong lol
It wouldnt fit the speaker towers on the sides without out over lapping the doorway. Did NOT work according to original plans lol.

eastwest2300 09-06-2013 12:46 PM

haha... i would have improvised.. haha

fonzo179 09-06-2013 01:11 PM

It's Friday, so you know it's coming...

Classic Fonzo179 off-topic :icon17:

There's a Taylor Swift concert here in Fargo today.
*sigh*
God help us. Our dearly beloved FargoDome will be swamped with teenie boppers like the zombies in Resident Evil...brainless followers - okay hang on, because I just thought of this. They said on the radio Swift's song "Never ever ever getting back together" sold millions on iTunes within 10 minutes of release. How many girls do you think ended up getting back together-gether-gether with their men after downloading (and BLASTING a hundred times) that song???:rofl2:
