Euro cars aren't perfect either. Many German brands suffer from gremlins in electronics. And many of them are incredibly expensive to maintain and use specialized tools, which are not mechanical faults, but definitely made me hesitate when shopping.

British cars had a history of rust and electronic problems. I'm not sure about modern brit motors. Italian and French marques around the lower end had reliability issues back in the day, but while France stays away, Italians are coming back strong. I mean, Fiat and Dodge make for strange bedfellows, but so far so good, apparently.

Scandinavian Makes are a little inconsistent. I know people who love Volvos and older Saabs, although Saab has been in trouble since it was under GM during the bailout.

More or less, there is no perfect car.
