So my best friends just had their baby boy last night. I decided to face my fears and hold a baby today. :eekdance: I'm deathly afraid of holding them; afraid I'm going to drop them. :(

Hey, Mr. Haboob -- I ordered my midnight blue Z. My dealer is trading one he has on his lot for this one which is about 75 miles from here. He is also trailering it up.

 That's awesome! Wish I could have had a dealer do that for me, but it was also kind of fun to fly up to Vegas and drive it back. Makes a good story. :D

Yeah, as long as I don't have to change diapers! :bowrofl: I'm not that ready for a baby. I like to be able to say, "Here you go, Mom/Dad!"

Dude -- I am a grandpa and the beauty is all the fun and none of the stinky stuff (but I change diapers and feed her and comfort her when she cries anyway).

I can't wait until we buy her the first puppy!!! We naturally will not consult mom and dad first. :icon17:

Any ideas on how to re-enable the door button chime on the Z? The lock/unlock sequence from the FOB doesn't do anything with the door button chime and of course it's the one thing not in the manual. :shakes head:

Try this:

This lock/unlock doesn't fix that, at least not on my car it's not.

I saw a thread where LakeShow said he had to take his to the dealership to get that part fixed... hopefully I don't have to do that.

I need that chime so I can know if I actually locked the doors as I walk away from it. :icon17:

Haboob 06-01-2013 05:20 PM

Haha, just saw your edit.

Yeah. Everything I've found is the lock/unlock button - unless that is supposed to work for both? It's not doing it for mine. I checked the ant-theft fuse and it's not blown. The horn one obviously isn't blown since it honks and I laid on the horn early for being cut off. :icon17:

So many great memories! We camped at least once a month. Luckily, being in the South made that possible. Still, there were a few mid-20's nights. It was all about having the right gear.

A fully decked out RV with internet sounds like the "right gear" to me  :bowrofl:

I've got a question for you guys. I want to debadge my engine cover and fill in all the holes and then paint it, what would you guys suggest for filling in the holes? Mu isn't allowed to respond to this cause I know what he'll say hahaha. But seriously though, would bondo work? Something else better? I have no experience with plastics and body work so I need something I can sand down and paint. Any suggestions, and links if applicable?

(barely)

I would use body filler with short strand fibreglass, or urethane filler. You need to make sure the holes have been roughed up and/or use an adhesion promoter.
