Yup. In fact, I remove them every time I wash the car since it's so easy. There are two tabs that pinch outward to hold the side markers in place.

Being careful not to scratch the paint, slip your fingernail under the marker at the point closest to the front of the car. Push the side marker sideways towards the back of the car. This should release the tab, allowing the front edge of the side marker to pop out where your finger was located. It should pop out either on its own or with just a little leverage using your finger. When I unplug the harness, I just let it fall back into the fender, so I often have to use a tool to fetch it when reinstalling the markers after a wash.

Thanks :tiphat:

How was your night? you had to work right?

Yes I worked last night. Was really tired this morning, now I'm up because I have a "local" guy coming to pic up a pillar. I was expecting him after 3pm, which would have been perfect, but he called and told Mr.Force he would be here in an hour, that was at 1pm. I'm going to be a cranky boy tonight.

I also use one of my detail brushes to get all the dust off. :tiphat:

Nice and cool here. About 101 right now, supposed to be 108. 20-25% humidity too.

Not bad considering a week and a half ago it was 118. It's almost sweater weather! :excited:

Yeah... the first time I waxed the Z, I got wax all over every piece of trim possible. A year later, I was still finding dried wax residue in random nooks and crannies :shakes head: Now that I'm much more intimate with the Z, I do a much better job avoiding that type of crap

yah, i only use that boar's hair paintbrush looking thing once in a while. it's really useful when dust gets into the window trim seal. sometimes my MF towel can't reach it and the boar's hair is soft enough that it does not haze the plastic and rubber seal around the glass. i dont use it over paint unless it's in the door jam or hinges as nissan paint is so soft.

it's not a necessity but it's a convenient tool to have. :D

You hate polish dust getting in your nooks? Perhaps a low-calorie diet and more hamster-wheel action will help that. :wtf2:

sorry to hear that man. I'm guessing there's not another dealership within a reasonable distance (otherwise you wouldn't be towing 73 miles IIRC).

Probably using offshore labour. Twinkles are now made in Bangladesh and freighted to North America for our enjoyment. :bowrofl:
