I was in the Air Force for 11 years as a Comm guy (Tech controller)... Was a 493x0 which became a 3c3x1 - the code has prolly been changed again. I have been out for about 9 years.
Now I work at what was a cool start-up tech company but was recently bought by a large software company. Still a cool place to work. Love my job and the people I work with. I am a program manager in network operations. I might get back into network engineering though. Glad to have a job right now with no worries of layoffs. Electrical Utility apprentice, basically I risk my life everyday on the city's electrical infrastructure which is a very dangerous job but I like knowing everyone is home and able to relax, watch some tube, sit down with the fam and I play a role in that cuz doing those activities in pitch black is no fun. I hate when folks complain about their electric bill cuz they don't see it from my view point where I face death daily.

Cool! I'm a journeyman lineman. 22 years old. No Z yet though. It's a great job. You get to do and see some cool stuff. Not to mention you can work just about anywhere in the country. Lineman seem to be in pretty high demand right now. |
