Quit my job at Morgan Stanley, now doing Marketing ;)

IMWEZL 03-14-2010 10:38 PM

Without going too far off topic thanks for the advice. I planned on getting a beater there anyways. I've driven in Korea before with a green box called a Galloper. I left my Z in Hawaii with a friend and when I came back there were several curb rash incidents on the back wheels.

More than likely I'll find somewhere to hide it on base.

CPT's measuring each other up. Isn't that the Army way? Our whole parking lot at Brigade is nothing but a Penis measuring contest; M5, Porsche 911, SRT8s, Roush Mustangs, Custom bikes, My Harley Night Rod Special, limited edition Ducati, a turbo Busa, and to top it off a C6 Z06 :)

That's what we spend your tax dollars on after deployment. :)

I'm a Network Engineer for a Managed Services firm. It's I.T. My car is my office, I take it to all my clients and my job pays for gas, wear and tear on the vehicle, woohoo!

When I meet clients they just say stuff like "Damn, they must pay you good there!"

Lemers 03-14-2010 10:50 PM

I call them deploymentmobiles

I'm a 35yr old Systems Debug Engineer @ AMD/ATI. I fought my way up from Validation to earn my Job & my Nismo. This is my only vehicle, so I commute and grocery shop and wander aimlessly in her.

Grats to all you Z owners, young and old, rich and poor. Although, I must say... had this car simply been given to me, I would have already torn it up. Spending 20yrs building up good credit and job_skills to afford such a fine street legal racing car has me treating her like a newborn infant... until she's broken in, that is!

I friggin love my Nismo :yum:

That is great! I admire those that work their way up in this world. I think they have a better sense of value and how hard it is now to earn a dollar. Not saying that those that are given everything don't appreciate it but most of the time they don't. Congrats on your rise to where you are and on the NISMO!

Just curious: do you have a BS in CompSci/EE/CE, or did you have to get more education to work your way up? I'm quite envious of those that obtain such a prestigious job.

Good for you. I'm a 62 year old lawyer. At this stage of the game, the purchase of my new Z may have been effortless for me. Nevertheless, I still appreciate her and carefully drive her because I clearly remember what things were like, financially, when I was just starting out and then building up at your age---all valuable life lessons best well remembered...

WoW, alot of engineers.

I'm an electrical engineer working for Hydro Ontario and Hydro Quebec.

Scott @ RA 07-10-2010 07:00 AM

Wow, where to start for me....

I have two degrees from San Diego State University, First up was personal fitness and nutrition, then a couple years later I finished my business management side of my aerospace engineering degree.
Ever since my racing hobby (that I have been doing since I was 9) took presence over my daily job, I now am a professional race car driver and test driver in upper level motorsports. That has now been my career and main source of income ever since 2001 (under contract).

I have also done some side work with high performance driver instructing for various driving schools and also do some R&D for several aftermarket tire, chassis, and suspension companies. I also sometimes get called in to do an occasional track data acquisition test for some media companies/ magazines.

For a side business, the last 3 years or so I have used my racing background and contacts to kinda break into the tuner car market which brings me here to this forum...... I am the owner of Relentless Autosports

Jesse_Hunter 07-10-2010 08:59 AM

I operate Natural gas processing plants, Cryo-genetic, and compressor stations.

I also do photography, digital art, and am in the process of hopefully buying my first local business, an already well established upscale gift store.
