Probably not. But it depends on your policy.

According to my HVAC guy, the first few weeks of cooling season (units have sat all Winter) and during heat waves (greater strain on unit) are when the most problems occur.


Replace your filters regularly (about once a month for most people) and get everything checked out at 2-3 year intervals.
