Charge and play kit is like $20. If that battery goes out, it's MUCH cheaper to replace than an entire controller that doesn't have removable batteries. Also, the cord it comes with to charge is like quadruple the length of the one that comes with the SIXAXIS. If you buy the longer cable for that one, it costs the same as the c+p kit. Interesting...
