I hate suggesting it, but everyone has one near them, go to a Best Buy and test speakers. They do have plenty to test and this is what I take:

I hate suggesting it, but everyone has one near them, go to a Best Buy and test speakers.
They do have plenty to test and this is what I take: ~3 CDs (classic, rock, heavy) ~DVD (Depending on the setup at the BB, you can test a good DVD with the speaker setup) After Best Buy I would start searching for some smaller home theater shops that have show rooms, they will stock other brands (both cheaper & more expensive).
