Looked like the they lost control of the car and possibly overcorrected, went front passenger side first into a concrete barrier. Speed was anywhere from 50-70mph. That was to my left as was the barrier he struck. Thank the powers that be that I was in the right hand, single lane. He would have tboned me if that barrier wasn't there. Had to call 911 since I couldn't stop. :/

Wow.

But I would question whether you could stop... You know how easy it is to flip a bitch in the Z at 75 mph? Effortless :driving: :icon17:

Couldn't, I was in that single lane that you can ride in to get to 620 without jumping on the toll road.

Sorry to hear, BC

Yesterday, I went outside to the yard guys at work and told them to stop weed eating the mulch right in front of my car - there's absolutely nothing green there :shakes head: At least he was nice about it, and later I noticed that he didn't even point his leaf blower toward the corner of the lot where the Z was parked (there were still a bunch of leaves and stuff around my car, but the rest of the lot was clean)

I also noticed that my tuner's cats had some fun up on my car :shrugs:

oh $hit!! so it was RIGHT next to you  I can imagine that was a bit scary...

And yeah... major props if you're able to pull a 180 at 60+ mph in that single lane :icon17:

Exactly! Definitely a GoPro moment if I've ever had one. I really hope the person was OK. I saw a couple of cars stopping behind it and no doubt someone hit them while it was happening due to the speed everyone was going.

Ok, I'll stop talking about it now. Going to go pretend to work for a bit I suppose. Getting ready for a June 8th College Station meet.

Driveway Austin still makes you take the $400 class first before moving on. :shakes head:

If you bring your own car, my understanding is they have a process to evaluate your ability. They put you in your car with an instructor for a couple of laps, and you basically follow the instructor's directions until you aren't able to do what he asks. At his discretion he will determine what class you should be in as well as stop the evaluation if necessary. My buddy took his M5 out there one time and the instructor told him he could take any class he wanted and that they were looking for instructors :driving: Unfortunately, he did not take the job - he runs his own photography firm.

Cool. I know when the boss took the R8 out, they made him do the first course and he can't move up until he logs more days on the small course. At least that's what he told me.

Now that I think about it, I'm wondering whether that was at Driveway Austin. Because you're exactly right: I remember them telling me I had to have a minimum amount of class and track time before I could take more advanced courses. I'll have to ask him about it.

I've been looking at Harris Hill if you think we want to get a group going. I'm interested in learning how to handle this mini beast.
