I just have a laptop and iPhone 5. I don't need anything else.

Def. wouldn't get a Mac though. Never did like them and like said before, they are waaaay over priced.

Now, if I was heavily into music/graphics - a Mac would be ideal. But I'm not, so **** off Mac! :icon17:

I can understand that :tiphat:

I build my own PC, so when something goes wrong I know who to blame. Luckily, I have been doing it long enough that I generally don't have hardware problems. Software problems are sometimes unavoidable in the PC world, though.

Same here, and that's why PC will never die. :)

That's the argument I never got, MAC has nice tools on it that make doing things like that easy for amateurs, but PC can be upgraded (both hardware and software) to outperform the MAC and would be much more suited for serious users.

Just as a price comparison:
I have spent $1,300 so far on my PC and that a fresh build from scratch ( So no donor case/software) and my PC already packs a punch in performance. i7 processor at 4.2 Ghz, 16 gb ram, 2 gb GPU, 2 TB of storage, and 128 GB SSD running the main programs. When it's all said and done, I will add a second 2gb video card and some memory upgrades. Total price will be about $1,700.

the only laptop i currently trust is thinkpad. but the screen sucks cause it's not a home use one (non reflective screen).

and about price... i dont care. i would still buy MBP over a pc for personal use considering the stability and reliablity. A LOT cheaper for me cause i dont have to get it repaired by someone, or have to wait while they're fixing it.

the mediore spec MBP i bought in 2011... not once has it given me problems. between 2011 and now, ive gone through 5 pc laptops (all brand new). wtf is going on here? :shakes head:

so you see why i dont like pc's. the thinkpad is okay though. it's been stable so far... like a mac. :icon17:

I've had this Toshiba laptop for about 3yrs now, no problems yet.

If it breaks, I'll just buy a new one. It was only $400 or so.

All I need it for is internet, minor photoshop, and iTunes.

my work provides the laptops, but these aren't the low-end cheap ones. the ones im running are like $2K.

at the end, i just told the it guy to get me a i5 based thinkpad cause that's wat my wife uses and she seems to be happy with it. saved the guy like $500 right there and most of the instability problems i had before were resolved.

the rest is a ms issue, but win7 on the thinkpad has not been bad. :D

im not a computer person...i dont care wat it is, it just has to let me concentrate on my work and :postwhore: here. :icon17:

I love PC and would not get a mac computer ever. I consider my opinion to be unbiased though. I happen to own an Ipod, Iphone 4, as well as in the household we have and Ipad4, Iphone4s, Itouch. Additionally I own shares of AAPL so their success is in my advantage. When it comes to desktops though, mac just doesn't cut it for me and doesn't not provide me with what I need, as well as it being overpriced.

All I do is watch porn and surf the Z forum. So the Mac is essential so I don't get a virus.
