yep, i dont mess around in my Z.

people think i baby the car cause i QD her all the time and garage kept, but i drive the car the way she was meant to be driven when i do take her out. i rarely get over 7-8k miles on summer tires.

i have over 14k on my OEM Potenzas. Obviously i drive like an old lady too.

msbc- yah, when the tires are brand new they have release lube from the mold on the outer layer and that can cause VERY slippery condition. but then with 1" of water not channelled, most cars might hydroplane.

yah, new tires need to be broken in. i usually do a quick burn-out and that rids most of the lubage.

but the front still needs to be broken in. at least, much less chance of spin out.
