you can buy them separately. it appears some of the first lots for the Z did not come with them. the rear whiteline bar does not come with them.

you can also buy the rapist versions... ($35 each)
Whiteline Performance Suspension for UNIVERSAL PRODUCTS SWAY BAR - ALLOY LATERAL LOCK

i also have these coming to me (aluminum ones) which i bought as back up.

Shaft Collars: Two Piece Split Collar - Inch and Metric | Ruland

I'll have to wait until later in the week to go check, it's doing that floating moisture dizzle shit. :shakes head:

kenchan 04-18-2013 01:56 PM

so i was checking out some driving lights to put on my fit. why? cause i dont want to run daytime running lights, but i want to have my headlights turned on in the rain.

but then if i turn on my headlights, my HU's screen dims and then i cant see the screen very well. and DRL is too yellow hue, makes my car look meh.

so, easy swap wouldve been to swap out the bulbs... but my car (it being a cheaparse car) uses H4 bulbs which is for drl, low, and high beam. so this mean i would burn through PIAA bulbs in like 5-6months. $50 a pair. too costly.

so, wanted to get a pair of PIAA drving lights and use that instead. and turn off DRL.

that sucks. im not sure if you can see it without taking the bottom shroud off. if your car doenst have it, i recommend you just getting the shaft collar locks (2 piece versions) get a pair. they work the same.

even the pair that comes with bar, if you buy them separately they're like $20 each. :eekdance:

yah, the rears (from wat i read) are an option to put on the collar locks.

kenchan 04-18-2013 02:07 PM

chris- btw, for the front, since whiteline recommends using the same lock for their 25mm and 27mm, i just went with a 1" inner-diameter collar lock from ruland (as back up, im going to use the whiteline stock collars to start off).

check here for available sizes... i'd get the steel ones if you can. i got the aluminum pair cause amazon was out of stock.

I'll look into it once I know for certain I don't have anything on there.

This week it's brake work:

Swapping Left Front Caliper

Upgrading pads to Ferodo DS2500

Fluid Flush

Next week it's electrical:

Installing rear view cam

kenchan 04-18-2013 02:15 PM

u got a busy week, chris!

here's a pict from mr.gale's build thread. you can see that his bar has no locking collar, but he has a package there that look like 2 silver rings on the left. mine was missing that little bag with the rings.

the recent lots already come with the locks pre-mounted per the pict i posted earlier.

I think maybe my bars had those physically on the bar... but I'm not sure, I'll try to catch a peek while working on the brakes. I'll snap a pic or two.

Gotta get everything prepped for ZDayZ.

Oil change is next week also. Then the only fluid that will not have been swapped is the PS fluid. Debating on if that's even worth it, and if so, what fluid to go with. Some people were saying NOT to use the Redline "Power Steering Fluid" for PS Fluid? :ugh2: To instead go with... fuuu I can't remember which one now.

wow, you're swapping ps fluid already? lol my G is still running stock fluids from the factory, other than brakes, coolant, and motor oil. :icon17:

doing the diff oil this summer. and retiring her next year at 10yrs.

Well she's going on 3+ years old, and will hit 50k by ZDayZ, so I figured, why not?

I think people would just say use oem. I wonder why it was recommended not to use redline. From my experience I have been extremely satisfied with Redline oils.

Nothing like getting an invite at noon the day of for some supposed bachelor party!

On a Thursday night? The night before the wedding? And people work the next day? You crazy!

Not sure what people are thinking sometimes. Then it turned into begging everyone for money for a limo, suite, dancers, whatever he decided to change the idea to... :icon17:

Needless to say, I'm not going. I don't drink anyways, so I'm not going to be a well dressed babysitter.

So how are all of your afternoons?

Oh no, it's not that they say Don't use Redline, its that they say don't use the Redline PS fluid. Instead use another one of their fluids, like the MT or rear diff fluid... something along those lines. Redline ftw.

Isamu's always the biggest anything-whore. My name would probably be in there right now if my job didn't keep me running around all the time. Sometimes I don't touch my phone for 4 or 5 hours straight, and that's usually how I post.

it's not money that's the issue. I got a new job and need to accrue vacation days. I don't have enough to go to ZdayZ yet :(

Huck 04-18-2013 03:00 PM

I want to do all my fluids too. Why does everything have to cost money? It's like every 5 minutes I think of something else that I have to take care of financially. Not to mention my amazon wish list is growing by the minute.
