I've been looking for a route to take a weekend cruise up, and think I've found it:

i remember staying at a hotel long time ago in san bernardino where there were only like 5 guests. it was SUPER spooky... but the staff was real nice. even the head chef at the hotel restaurant came out to pour wine (i still drank back then) while asking how the steak was. :yum: we (guests) shared stories of our trip coming into LA area through the desert that day. it was a f-king windy day i remember.. the haboob.
