Why? It's not terribly expensive (under $400) to have the job done this way and it should be a much better repair long-term vs. spraying a little clear on and blending it in with a buffer.

Of course I say that knowing another rock is going to hit the car as soon as I get it back. :shakes head:

if your shop can color match, then it's good. if your car is metallic it's going to be that much more difficult. :)

I'm not sure they'll re-shoot the color on the whole panel or not, but yeah, if they can't match paint then it's not gonna look good. But this isn't MAACO.
