People say -- "think of all the miles you are booking!!!"

I say "screw that -- the last thing I want to do with time off is fly some where, even if it is free because of all the miles I book".

Marriott gives me all this free stuff and I don't even use it. Yes -- I'll go to a hotel when I don't need to...

GAP. Everyone needs it.

My previous 370z got totaled and luckily I had GAP to pay the extra $3k leftover from their appraisal. Of course GAP was a no brainier on my new 370z.

It is safe and sound in a very good shop -- it is waiting for time on the frame rack for them to take measurements. A Prius and a Honda Fit currently occupy their two frame machines. Talk about adding insult to injury!!!

I should know today or tomorrow if they are going to total it. In a way, I hope they do -- I have already identified an available vehicle (midnight blue, grey leather, touring, sport, 6MT).

I still consider myself technically unemployed since I'm not actually working in a salon. My contract work with TIGI earns me a nice chunk of change and working on shoots... well, not so profitable in the tangible sense, but having experiences I couldn't have before when I had hours at the salon.

Speaking of which, I should be signing the lease on a building this week.
When I'm going to find time to do the build-out to make it a salon/studio is a mystery me, though :rofl2:

TIGI's travel agency never books me on the same airlines, so my miles are spread out all over the place. United to London, USAir to FL, American to Dallas, Air Canada to ummm, Canada :icon17:

That sucks. I do all mine on Delta, American or Southwest, depending on where I go. I also book my own travel. The last time I let our corporate do it they sent me to Minneapolis via LA then Denver first. It took 12 hours to go 1,500 miles. Duh.

Yeah, I hate corporate policies.
I used to be able to book my own hotels, which would allow me to find cool places near things I wanted to see and do during my down time, but now they book it and I always end up in some corporate business park or near the airport. Not that they're not decent hotels... but for example, I could have booked myself at a cute B&B on the beach in NJ for less money than the company spent on putting me in the Marriot Courtyard 11 miles away from the beach.
Oh well.

Ditto on the pads. Not sure about rotors. Last I had the mechs check, they said everything was fine.

As long as the rotors aren't vibrating during braking, you're probably fine. What makes you think you need new pads? Have you checked them or are they squealing? I'm not saying you don't, but just wondering.

Haboob 05-28-2013 03:00 PM

:shakes head: I had to actually do some work today.

Kenchan, I borrowed a radio (only piece of equipment not in yet, should be here Thursday :excited:) and raced for the first time Saturday. I didn't do well, but I wasn't horrible.

However, they're changing the track this week so now I'll have to learn a new track immediately. :ugh2: :D

JARblue 05-28-2013 03:01 PM

Btw I got an appt with RR Nissan tomorrow morning to inspect the headliner :eekdance:

kenchan 05-28-2013 03:01 PM

Squealing a tiny bit lately. I've had vibration when braking but apparently I'm the only one who can feel it.

kenchan 05-28-2013 03:08 PM

if im going to keep the G longer, i too need to swap rotors and pads. my car brakes fine, but the rotors have grooves in them now so im going to just swap the rotors and pads next time when the pads are done. :D

can you take a peek using a mirror tool and flash light? if you're down to about 3-4mm, i'd replace them anyways. :D
