I'm not seeing Selective Color anywhere?

That's just the name of what you're talking about.

Here's some steps:

Selective Coloring Effect In Photoshop

They even have some extra steps in there that you don't need (like the inverse and what not).

Chris, if you're on the fence, here are some shots taken with a T3 this past weekend.

( Click to show/hide )

Edit: Not sure why that last one has such crappy quality after uploading. It looks clear on my tablet.

 how come, they don't hurt to have when you want to experiment with shooting angles.

Just couldn't get into it. The SX50 had it and it felt easily breakable to me. Shrug.

I watched that race, it was very good. Is that Marquez (sp?) or the other Repsol rider?

They look good Tracie. I would need to be able to figure out the settings to get shots like that...

What is that bottom one, the tower... what is that tower for?

Haboob 04-25-2013 01:58 PM

If you can't figure it out let me know and I can do it when I get home. (The selective colo[u]r thing)

Not sure which one it is to be honest. :icon17: Race was hard to follow only viewing one turn.

The tower is an observation deck. Very nice up there.

^^ Good tutorial! That works great on big items like that, that'll make it fun for the small accent features I have. :icon17:

Red/CF accents on the wheels, black/red center caps, red valve stem caps. :bowrofl:

That's what 500% zoom is for.

Trust me.

I've done it with pictures of people and just highlighting their tattoo's. Came out great.

Tracie, just a suggestion to get rid of the fence marks, if you can get really close to it and shoot with the widest aperture.

Wasn't possible since they were going so fast. My buddy took the high speed ones and had to track them halfway down our viewing area just to get a clear shot. All of mine are way worse than his.

I know how expensive that stuff gets, and I know my weaknesses. I'm not opening myself up to DSLR GAS lol

You know... Gear Acquisition Syndrome

hahaha, i too have used fedex material to ship USPS and such. but i have so many amazon boxes coming in every week at the house, i just use that these days for my personal shipments. :D

i think i spent about $1K on my paper weight (DSLR)... it's good to have when most needed, but definitely NOT a necessity. :) i dont see myself spending more on my camera stuff as i just dont have a thing for photography other than taking my car picts..which only usually looks like a used car ad photo. :ugh2:

Amazon.com: Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens: CANON: Camera & Photo

Amazon itself has it for $1 cheaper but 2-4 week delay for being out of stock. B&H is same price
