My buddy had that happen to him with his truck, doing 80 on the highway. Flew right in the side window hit the rear glass and boom! It was gross!

I was thinking it was weird that the driver headrest had splatter. He must have seen the bird at the last second and ducked ... ?

nah, the driver was on his corded telephone receiver and saw the bird and hung up then ducked instead of just dodging it.
