1/18 scale Z-tune Skyline

Good day,

Does anyone else have an Autoart 1/18 scale R34 Z-Tune Nismo Skyline? The Nismo badge is on the bottom of the radiator but there is no intercooler in the front bumper, where it should be. Does anyone else own one? My R33 has one. The induction system is wrong on the 1/18 scale R33, I was looking in there one day and it doesn't seem right. I hope that Koyosho makes more Nissan models in 1/18, they do such a nice job.

Thanks

No, not yet. Last I heard Koyosho, AutoArt, and Maisto were all saying that they had no plans to do one. While there are other die-cast model makers out there, if these main three aren't doing it the likely hood of others is very low. It's a shame but it's been known to happen for companies to skip models. There still is no 1:18 of the 280zx or 300zx (Z31). Right now the largest die-cast 370z available is 1:24.

That is a Maisto 1:24 or Fastlane 1:24. I have the Maisto version in that same blue

Either way, not a 1:18 like the OP is looking for.

AlexRaymond19 12-13-2011 12:09 AM

Well how many inches long is a 1:18? Cuz this one is at least 8 inches long*

TongMan 12-13-2011 02:47 AM

Here is mine.

I've been searching for 1:18 also....always see 1:24 and I can find the Datsun 240Z in 1:18, tons of those....

Tongman Is that 1:18??

m4a1mustang 12-13-2011 08:02 AM

That looks like the 1:24 Maisto.

I just got a Solid Red 1:24 Maisto. It's about the best you can get right now. In general Maisto = meh.

Unfortunately the market sucks so Auto Art and Kyosho haven't been coming out with anything real new lately.

I REALLY want to get my hands on a 1:18 AA or Kyosho 370Z but it will probably be years until we see one... if we ever do. :( It sucks because they made so many 350s back when the diecast market was stronger.

If you have any model building skills Tamiya makes a 1:24 scale curbside model kit which has great body detail.

Mustang is correct. It's 1:24.

The blue model didn't get released at the same time as they silver and red ones. I bought two of each color and kept those three mint in their package.

Nope you'd have to paint it yourself

I have a 1:24 that is partially white and the Maisto fresh metal 1:64 behind it in this picture is all white but the detail isn't great.

Dwight Frye 01-03-2012 05:46 PM

I have one of the Maistos and the detail is actually very good. It was something like $10-11 on ebay but the seller gouges on shipping so it was close to $25 delivered but no big deal.

AutoArt/Kyosho have really slowed down production of just about everything thanks to the economy. So I doubt we'll see anything anytime soon. I really hope we get one, though. The cheap $10 Maisto will suffice for now, but I want the detail, scale, and craftsmanship of the higher end stuff!

International Car Show is coming into town this month

Typically there is a huge booth every year for die cast models...many rare ones...doubt I'll find a 1:18 but I'll be looking for sure...

Footloose301 01-05-2012 07:19 AM

I want one that I don't have to ruin and customize lol. I used my 40th touch up paint. It used to be white.

I won't put stickers on my car so that's the collage I'm making.

I'm generally the same way. All the stickers from the parts I buy are on the door of my parent's garage. :bowrofl:

diecastSTEAL.com | Discounted Die-Cast Model Cars

I talked to them, and they're working on getting the 370z in 1:18 scale.

Finally, someone did make one, actually 3

I found this one on ebay;
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...8&_dcat=180506
there was a white one that sold recently, but that means it was made.
By now must anyone looking for one has one. The problem is the PRICE!
I had 3 x 300ZX, but sold them when I sold the car. So now I've got my 370Z and looking for a 370Z x 1:18 scale. But I will not pay this outrageous cost.
