:hello: all.

I like to drive the z like its meant to be driven but still avoid getting it dirty. So I keep it in the garage during bad weather. Dont drive it in rush hour to work and try to stay clear of trucks.

I DD mine and have been lucky so far. I also have an assigned parking spot in a covered garage with co-workers parking on either side of me. They all realize that the wrath of holy will reign down upon them if I ever get a door ding. The HR manager actually moved spots in fear.

Mission accomplished!

The DAY those circumstances change, I will be down at the Honda dealer buying my Kensan Edition Fit!

Sorry to be the voice of doom here, but you need to find out if the paint the shop is using is water based or solvent based. The nail polish may not be the best thing to apply to water based paint.

You need to just take a deep breath and relax on this. Let the guys fix the paint before worrying about clearing it. If you are going to put clear bra over the spot anyway, you'll never that it was never clear coated.

When I painted the backings for my Z badges, I didn't clear them because I was applying clear bra to them.

They were a PERFECT match to the rest of the car.

Pint you've got way too much going for you to continually stress over these types of things and making yourself sick. IT IS NOT WORTH IT!

I want to see a smiley face from you young lady! :icon17:

All I want is to enjoy a like new car for once. I didn't get that when buying and now that I'm being responsible and taking better care of it, I get shafted. I expected the chips again but not this soon.

You are on ignore until I see that smiley face princess. Talk to the hand cause the face ain't listenin'. :roflpuke2:

Okay, so you got a chip - GET OVER IT. Whether it happens on day one or day 1,000, it still hurts. I got a HUGE divot in my hood on the way to Nismo Fiesta last year that would require the entire hood to be painted. Screw it.

There is no perfect car. This from THE biggest car Nazi on earth. Just ask mrs. gurney about my parking habits. Here's her "Hit List"

Brand new (two day old) 97 Ford Explorer - pulled out of the garage before the door was all the way up. Took door off the hinges and roof rack off the truck.

Brand new (day I picked-up the car!) 01 Honda Odyssey - dropped car off at her office. She proceeds to park and pulls up too close to a wire fence and punched 23 (yes I remember the number to this day) little holes in the front bumper. Found out State Farm insurance does not cover marriage counseling.

Brand new (one week) 07 MDX comes home with a large dent in the back fender and yellow paint (what they paint parking poles with). Apparently someone was walking around with a baseball bat and a wrag to smear yellow paint on cars that day.

Brand new (one day) 12 CR-V comes home with not one, but two curbed rims.

So is anyone still wondering why she doesn't drive the Z?
