Is Austin not laid out in a grid (like Phoenix)? Makes going for a drive less fun - 4hr drive up North to find some twisty's.

Just downtown, the rest is a fvcking mess. I live pretty close to the edge of the hill country and there are some great roads out there.

This is mine. I'm surprised I don't fall asleep it's so boring.

All freeway, which looks like it has curves, but they're so long and sweeping that you don't realize you're turning.

1-we learned how to better layout roads for safety by the time we got that far west (helps that its flatter too!)
2-my drive is fraught w unexpected objects in the road. They vary from fat azz raccoons, deer, possums, skunks, fox, coyotes, bare chested rednecks wearing cut-offs and converse tennis shoes riding 4-wheelers, tractors and jacked up 4-wheel drive pickups hauling lawn mowers that are splashing gasoline all over the front of my Z....and thats only a partial list  lol!

That's true, but it makes for such a boring city driving-wise. May take a trip up North this Summer for a fun (and cool weather) drive.

I'm definitely glad that we don't have many animals that jump out onto the roads (a coyote every now and then, but rarely since they're nocturnal) - and our scenery is better, very little tree's that all look the same. The desert is so pretty.

Hired my son to work for us for 5 months until he goes back to school. But, it's supposed to be raining heavy late tonight. Then turning to freezing rain. Then about 4 to 6 inches of wet heavy snow. We'll come out of it Saturday night. Yes....another fvcking storm!

I bought the food and they bought their beers (no alcohol on expenses rule, plus I do not drink that stuff -- or anything)
