I got the shift knob in the morning while I was at work. I picked up a strap wrench on my way home for lunch and it took about 20 min. Removal took about 5 min. The rest was screwing on the new knob and unscrewing several times to get the pattern facing the correct way  |

mr.alcheng- my Z's knob was a royal pita to remove. broke two strap wrenches and i just said f- it and took my oil filter wrench and got the damn thing off. :D i just didnt want to damage the shift linkage below, so I was definitely careful about that side of things. |
