mr.alcheng- sorry to hear about the hibernation...it's just a fact of life where im at too unless i want to drive with snow tires. :ugh2: i know it's do-able but i just can't stand washing that caked on salt crap on my car finding corrosion and stains in the spring time. :icon14:

np Mr.kenchan, I used to drive the 350z all year with snow-boots in the Winter, but I decide to keep this 370z in the garage in Winter... I want to keep this Z for a long while...

No Z for me due to work I put my car away 2 weeks earlier then normal on Oct 15th. I had no time to drive it and it was just sitting there so I put it into storage and prepped for the sale of the house when I had time. I normally wait until the end of October and have my insurance just do the switch on november 1st to make everything easy and transition smooth. Then come spring I have it setup to go back on the road May 1st but depending on road conditions and weather I call in a week or two early and put the Z back on the road:tup::driving:

Enjoy the weather we have for today and tomo it is supposed to be nice :driving::tiphat:

Are they trying to say you had paint correction done to it? Like wet sanding or something? Or are they saying the correction was done at the factory? If they are saying you did it the obviously --> deny deny deny, say you only wash the car no corrections done to it and only noticed it on XX/XX/XX date and give them your story..... hope all goes well for you

Woodstock?? Isn't it even more far away from GTA than Kitchener??

Will we still see you on Z-meet next season???

The challenge with Pint's case is she bought the Z used, and nobody can tell what did the previous do with the Z.

Hopefully the case will stand on Pint's side...

"Ms. Villalpando

I asked Terry to reach out to you again for a more detailed explanation of what was discussed. I never mention that the hood was repainted only that “it has had prior work has been performed on it” as Terry agreed on the area that the paint was cracking because you could see the scratches from the wet sanding because you can see evidence that like someone was trying to repair the paint because something had gotten on the paint at one time. If you still feel you need to file a complaint against us, I’m sorry you feel that way because I never mentioned it had been repainted to you or Nissan. Maybe you misread my original email when I sent you the estimate from the body shop."

Last post until I hear something from corporate, I promise.

hahaha, i see, mr.alcheng. yah, im definitely keeping my Z for a while too. probably 10yrs if not longer.
one season driving through salt weather equals about 3yrs of wear on a dry weather-only hobby car, imho.

ms.pint- hummmm... :ugh2: is there proof something penetrated through the clear coat? one can have all the swirls and scratches on the clear (including poor wetsanding), but if it's above the clear it should not crack the paint under it.

Nothing big but the tech called me back and wanted to clarify what he said on Friday. He did say it looked like the area looked like it had been sanded for some type of color correction to the paint BUT he still maintains that he doesn't see any indication that it was repainted. So I'm still waiting to hear from the regional director. But now I'm worried that they will decline it.

That repair could have been done at the factory. They do lots of repairs like that (and bigger) in the factory paint shops.

I lived most of my life in Woodstock. It's a totally different place now that Toyota is building cars there.
