I was laughing at him for not knowing, not the people like me who are taking precautions. :icon18::icon17:

I'm quite concerned. I live in a flood plain. Isabelle rocked this neighborhood about a decade ago. I'm very scared.

I've moved everything likely to blow away to somewhere that decreases the likelihood of flying debris. I'm a bit terrified about my new car sustaining heavy damage, as well as the Z.

I've got large trees to worry about. Power outage is almost a certainty here. It's spotty under lighter storm conditions.

I'm hoping for sustained power (or quick recovery) and no flooding.

I'm in the middle of Long Island and things here look like it's starting to pick up. Got the Z in the garage and as prepared as can be. I'm just hoping the power doesn't go out.

Yeah I hope everyone stays safe, again you'll all be in our prayers. Are there any people who refuse to evacuate like in New Orleans a few years back?

Winds are kicking up. US markets closed for a second day tomorrow. First time the weather has forced more than a one day closure of the stock market since 1888 I believe.

Enjoyed my day off by sleeping in. Doesn't seem too bad here right now. Stay safe everyone! :tup

Most of the "refusals" were unable to leave. I imagine that would be much the same case with Sandy people.

Yeah I do remember that some people couldn't leave but also people that refused, wanted to tough it out.

I saw on the news this morning that electric companies are sending crews up there today to help get any power outages resolved quicker. I know there are a couple companies down here in FL sending crews to the FL east coast as well as up to NY etc. I think Okalahoma is also sending people. Hopefully these efforts help out as much as they're planning.

Stay dry!!

Ga Power just sent a number of crews north. A few of my buddies got the call last night and are headed that way to stage and get prepared with the clean up.
