I keep low quantity for weight, so I can spring like a ferocious cat. :rofl2:

cow 07-01-2009 10:53 PM

Here today, it was 102* with 92% humidity.

Bugh.

Pushing_Tin 07-01-2009 11:40 PM

Ugh, I don't understand how you can deal with it. Anything over 75 is too much for me. We are having a "heat wave" right now actually. Tomorrow it's supposed to around 95.

GingaBreadMan 07-02-2009 12:02 AM

How r ur 370's running at those high temps? It hasn't gotten that hot n NY yet thank goodness.

k20z3 07-02-2009 12:17 AM

Mine was at 112 yesterday about 2:00PM when I cranked it up to go to lunch. That was the ambient temp parked outside on hot pavement. Once I got rolling it cooled down to a sultry 99 lol

John

Skorch 07-02-2009 01:55 AM

Saw 117 the other day when pulling out of the parking lot. Also in Phoenix btw.

510z 07-02-2009 02:19 AM

111 driving down bell road. 115 in my garage.

510z 07-02-2009 02:21 AM

still not megan fox hot yet tho

molamann 07-02-2009 02:38 AM

I don't know about Phoenix but I rather have 100+ dry heat of Los Angeles than 90+ humid heat of Oklahoma City.

tvfreakazoid 07-02-2009 03:08 AM

Here in sacramento, CA we hit around 112 couple of days ago.

I hate dealing with it. It's so gross.

Or the 105+ swimming in saturated humid air of Houston :shakes head:

When I do parts installs you always hear me talk about taking it easy, taking lots of breaks, stretching the project out all day. It's because of the heat here. If I tried to work full-on and get a whole job done in a few hours, I'd probably die :p

bigaudiofanat 07-02-2009 09:39 AM

74 in Jersey right now!! Feels good out

frost 07-02-2009 10:13 AM

For those who asked, haven't seen high oil temps while aggresive driving, but I haven't tracked.

If you see hotter than me, don't forget to take a pic and post it here!

lol I HATE Houston. My gf is from there... I hate going there ugh.

theDreamer 07-02-2009 10:30 AM

It sucks, I love driving my Z but even with the A/C on and my tint I still can get hot. I feel the air hit my skin and instantly my arms are warm again, very creepy some days. All my work is done before 10AM or I will not do anything outside during the summer.

time to get a new gf ;)

LA so far isn't too bad...was 100 last weekend. then again, coming from southeast asia, this heat is nothing!

INTENSEPOWER 07-02-2009 12:00 PM

We here in AZ LOL'z at 100, we do that with our eyes closed at 2am in the morning. NO JOKE!

It only gets hotter from here boyZ and GirlZ! (And more humid... monsoons are a comin')

Endgame 07-02-2009 12:19 PM

Exactly! I was out playing tennis last night and could feel the monsoon humidity roll in while I was playing....

That said, I love Monsoon season here!

CBRich 07-03-2009 05:11 PM

I can easily beat that.

On a TOTALLY seperate topic does anyone know where the outside temp sensor is located?

AGREED! I can't stand anything above 75-80. As a matter of fact, outside temp rises above 75 = instant A/C on in my Z. I am a big winter fan! Maybe I should move to Alaska :ugh:

My Z is running perfectly. Temps here in Jersey fluctuates from 70-95. NO complain so far.

BanningZ 07-04-2009 05:21 AM

It was 97 today. And we have a ridiculous amount of humidity here. People forget that Oregon is considered a rain forest through the Willamette valley.

Yeah, in the Service Manual the Ambient Temp sensor is Pg 28 of HAC.pdf. Basically if you have the bumper off, you'll see a vertical bar of metal that runs down the front of the car in front of the radiator, and a little sensor strapped to that. That's the ambient temp sensor.

My son installed air conditioning units in homes here (League City area). I don't know how he even lives though it. He has assistants that have to go down and rest every 1/2 hour but his *** stays up in the attic for the whole damm job.

+1

Being in 105 degree Las Vegas weather this past weekend felt much better than the typical mid 80's with high humidity in the midwest!

fuct 07-08-2009 02:27 PM

heat index hovers around 105-110

Just as bad as South East Florida.

It's the dead of summer right now in Gurnee, north of Chicago. We've had a cold as hell winter (hit the double digits below zero this year) and the summer's been cold too. I love the cold. Hate the heat here, usually always wet heat, with at least 70% humidity... absolutely kills you. I think the highest we've hit so far this summer in Gurnee was only about 91 F. I like.

smurfblu13 07-09-2009 03:27 AM

As i type it is currently 66 degrees in PA. Which is awesome to me since I hate the heat. So far the East Coast has had a mild summer compared to everyone else. I hope it stays this way personally lol, but only time will tell.

Greasy 07-09-2009 12:54 PM

I'm going to be in Egypt for the rest of the summer. Once I get there I'll snap a pic and show you guys "hot," haha.

Yeah, FU Houston, at least this week. Wind speed avg has just jumped to a whopping 3mph here, which lowered our heat index to 102, the lowest I've seen in a few hours on wunderground. Actual temp is 99.7. And I'm out in the garage bleeding brakes and such most of the day. I work really slowly for an hour or so, then I come inside and work on my computer in the AC for an hour or two. It's the only way to stay alive :)
