I would get the P30 but I'm a little biased. :icon17:

On a side note..... I couldn't live anywhere that required me to wait for over a year to get 'permission' to buy a gun. WTF, over? Clam... maybe you should hit up one of the wise guys for a piece.... :ugh2:

:iagree:

For some reason, I could have sworn there was a really old document that already gave Americans permission to buy a gun. It was like the second item on the list.

I've considered buying all the parts to build one but I'm guessing the government sees that as a no no.

Actually, the only part that requires 'permission' (in some places) and a 4473 everywhere else, is the receiver (usually because that's where the serial number is at). That being said, if you have access to good power tools, there are several good manufacturers that sell 80% lowers & jigs (you have to do the final machine work) that will NOT require a 4473 or permission, because they are not firearms. You can buy all the other pieces you need to finish the gun off the inter webs or from a friendly gun store that sells parts. Primarily, this is for AR platform guns. I have built a .45 from parts, I still had to fill out a 4473 to get the frame. Everything else, I paid cash for at gun shows, by mail, etc.

If you go the 80% route, know this, you won't be able to sell it. The BATFags object strenuously to people selling unserialized weapons....

I have too, I'm just not familiar with the jigs and what-not. Usually the company that sells the lower, will also sell the jigs. I've got a bookmark at home for a company that sells good jigs, I'll pm you from there. Same rules apply, if you build something from an 80% lower, you are not supposed to sell it.

Some nice stuff in this thread... I will post some pictures of my stuff later today.

I have a Glock 17
Falkor defense AR15 chambered in .223
and recently picked up a berreta 1301 tactical

DeliriousClam 03-28-2017 06:30 PM

everything needed to build a glock is almost $700 :icon14: Who wants to donate to this poor, unfortunate resident of the armpit state with ******** gun laws to help him build his first handgun? Maybe I can offer something in exchange...:icon23:

DeliriousClam 03-30-2017 05:28 PM

By the way, no I'm not serious. But I do gotta save to build one of those

The more I read about them, the more I want to build one. I can't wait to have disposable income again and not feeling the obligation to give it all to my parents. I think I'm too good of a son.
