I never told you about my Kimber's little brother? ;)

It's a rimfire, I've had it for a few months now I just never got to bringing it out to shoot with you. That and the downtime from having the Kimber custom shop do some work on it. =P

All issues with the 9mm have been resolved, the slide locks back perfectly and it's pretty much a tack driver. I've been shooting it a lot lately. =)

i shot two matches this past weekend with no issues on mine...haha a little bit of holster wear already and I haven't even had her back for a week, but shes a tool and holster wear is a badge of honor...even though it was just refinished

Unfortunately finish wear is unavoidable particularly on painted guns which is why I prefer natural bead blasted stainless steel. I think it resists wear the best.

I'd love to post here but I have this shite feeling, everyone and their mother will judge the crap out of the guns I own... Let me put it this way... I have 3 Desert Eagles, 2 custom, I had a 4th but it was stolen... And I will continue to buy more... I do have plenty of others, but those are usually the most controversial... And people ALWAYS bitch and moan saying its not versatile and it weighs 6 pounds and the recoil is unmanageable and whatnot...

My response... When I go hunting or shooting in the desert, I carry at LEAST 2 on me, that weight you bitch about, that's what TAKES THE RECOIL AWAY, and just because you can't take the recoil doesn't mean I can't, you don't know me, you don't know my size... I shoot the 50 one handed, I shoot shotguns one handed in front of me lol...

That's kinda the end of my rant, but I'm gonna wait for these "Desert Eagles are such stupid guns" comments and base my decision to join this thread based on how many hate comments I get, lol!
Enjoy your shooting! And support your local gun shop!
(For those of you who have seen the MOVIE Snatch, my user name is from that... Desert Eagle, point, five-o)

I certainly have nothing against Desert Eagles....they're perfectly valid specialty handguns, no more or less than any of the other firearms posted in this thread.

I did find your self-defensive rant a little tiresome, however.

Lol, sorry about that, it's easier to put that out there once versus having to deal with defending the reasons why the Desert Eagle is as good as any gun

"The fact that you have REPLICA written down the side of your gun… and the fact that I've got DESERT EAGLE POINT FIVE-O written on the side of mine... should precipitate your balls into shrinking…"

Love that movie!

:icon18::iagree:

I love how many CA gun people have 370Z's... Where do you guys go shooting? I'm originally from CA as well and I come back all the time. We should all rollout to a range one day (I prefer Angeles shooting Range in Sylmar)

No kidding. I kept waiting for him to tell us what he benched. :roflpuke2:

Had a blast! I think it was a Ruger SR9. I fired at 8,10,15,25, and 30ft. I hope this doesn't turn into another expensive hobby :D

Oh...it will.

My progression....

Pellet gun when I was 5-6.
Single-shot .22 when I was 13 or so.
.223 bolt gun when I was 17.
.44 SRH when I was 19.
P226 when I was 21.

Then a couple AR's, custom 1911's, and a Benelli or four.

Now I have discovered the world of NFA/Class III, and it is an alluring one indeed. Just sent of application for my next tax stamp, and have 2 more that I will send off in a few weeks.

Yes...all from a pellet gun that I shot tin cans with as a child.

Exactly the reason I chose not to post here until now... And sorry I'm not a muscle head, I just love my guns

Make what more complicated? To own an AK?

Didnt see you were in Cali, that makes it much more complicated! You may be able to own a saiga in stock form since they are imported in with a traditional rifle stock and can only use their priority 10 rd mags. I am not sure if they have been submitted for testing and are on the aproved list though.

In fairness, you did create a kind of self-fulfilling prophecy by posting some self-defensive posturing about your guns that was unnecessary. Your introduction into this subforum was more or less "I have Desert Eagles. Want to make something out of it?" Now you find that everybody loves your guns but was distracted by your unrelated rant.

Don't sweat it. And don't feel you have to defend your choice of firearms. Different strokes for different folks.
