The other side of that coin is the "anti-boycott" planned by The Truth About Guns (TTAG)

Starbucks “$2 for 2A” Appreciation Day Going Viral | The Truth About Guns

Bottom line, consider buying some coffee at Starbucks on February 14. And consider paying with a $2 bill.

But, please do us all a favor....don't open carry. Such an in-your-face political statement is counterproductive. Concealed Carry means just that...conceal it, even if your state allows open carry. No need to get everyone all upset, just quietly affirm your rights, and show Starbucks that you support their decision.

This state (Minnesota) has an interesting take on businesses banning guns. A very specific sign has to be posted, and the statutes not only specify the wording, but also the size of the sign, and even the font used. Anything else makes it pointless. And, in fact the signs are pointless anyway, because even if you carry a weapon in a store that is posted "no guns", all they can do (if they catch you) is ask you to leave. If and only if you refuse to leave, they can call the cops, who in turn can come and ticket you with trespass, which is a $25 dollar fine, and has no bearing on your permit, present or future. Most Minnesotans that carry concealed just ignore those signs if and when they encounter them, and that would include Starbucks, if they ever change their mind.

Repped :tiphat:

His was a 9mm. Look on the frame it says Kimber MF9 that and the fact I got to shoot it when Ben lived down the road from me.

Has anyone seen the preview for that show Doomsday Preppers on National Geographic? I have a feeling this is going to make gun people look really, really crazy.

Jeez...This little jem by "The National Gun Victims Action Council" is ridiculous:

•Among the handguns Starbucks approves in its stores is the Glock 19 used by Jared Loughner in the Tucson massacre (killed six, wounded 14 in less than a minute—see thumbnails).

Can you come up with any weaker demagoguery? Unfortunately this stupid drivel works with people that have no capacity for critical thinking.

I have been cutting back on Starbucks...now I will be going everyday!

Incorrect. This gun is only made in .45. Here's Kimber's page for this model: http://www.kimberamerica.com/1911/co...ltra-covert-ii

It was a .45. Look more closely. It says Kimber MFG. Not MF9. Plus, if you look very carefully, you can see the .45 ACP stamp on the top of the barrel at the slide ejection port. Come to think of it, I didn't own any 9mm's, Mike. How've you been anyway? Long time no speak! :tiphat:

Living in LA or frisco county is much harder to get CCW's compared to sac county. Well it was hard but our new sheriff made it easier for us to get it. Although it will take almost a year to get one cause so many people are getting ccw's.

alright slight update on my ACR: went and paid for half of it, so its now officially off the market and waiting for me to pay the other half.

its the upgraded version of the ACR, not the basic.

I've found Springfields pretty tempting in the past, but each time the absence of front strap checkering ended up being a deal killer. Nice looking gun though. Congrats!

Hard to say, because it varies from shooter to shooter. If your hands tend to get sweaty then it probably helps more. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it though.
