Our neighbors to the North are very good neighbors indeed. They have suffered right alongside of US troops for a long time. Just look at a D-Day map and you will see the Canadian forces right there with us. Thank you guys. :usa:

I remember I was in the Marine recruiters office when it happened.

My grandmother was moving that day and we where in the office of the truck rental company. The TV was on and the counter person said a plane hit one of the towers. I said that isn't accidental and just then the second plane hit. At the time I volunteered as disaster relief for the Red Cross plus being in the fire dept. I also just finished my orientation at the hospital as an RN. I went into work and told the nursing supervisor that if called I'd be going to NYC. I didn't get a call but was more than willing to help if needed.

My story: in an airplane over Turin Italy....oblivious...until we landed:"all americans please step to the left-thank you". Heart pounding-images and announcements-shock-disbelief. Desperate to get back IMMEDIATELY to my country...my family frantic-no phone service-stuck in Rome/europe for a week...:(....home finally-that was a hard hard week. Wanted to be in usa very badly-w my suffering people. :(

Having nothing but fighters flying made for a strange site.

I remember I had just gotten off work and was driving home listening to the rock station when they interrupted the song and started announcing what had happened. The radio host was narrating everything as it happened and I was like wtf is going on?? Is this the beginning of some kind of invasion? Are we gonna get nuked? The rest of that day I was glued to the tv...
