It was ugly.

Now, all the sudden, I am indispensible and "what on earth are we going to do without you?"

Explain this to a southerner, why can't you drive it year round?

eastwest2300 10-11-2012 08:30 PM

If you drove the Z in the snow, you're REALLY asking for problems..

Snow is only part of it...the best part. Worst part is the ice, and the salt and grit placed on the road so you can get traction...rear wheel drive cars of any kind have probs w traction. Two or three winters ago i was stuck in my house and couldnt even get out to the road w an F-150 in 4 wheel drive! Lol-i hired a guy to plow the drive and it took him 45 minutes to get to the house! Feb worst month-holy hell when it hits!

Yep-Z will have no part of that. Love my civic most of the winter! It goes great!

I could drive it year round... with the appropriate tyres, provided the snow gets no higher than my Z's chin spoiler, in which case it would turn into a snow plow.
Even without snow, the cold temperatures would require all season tyres because high-performance summer rubber turns to stone in the winter and has a tendency to chunk, ruining the tyres pretty quickly.
I could subject my Z to salt and gravel, and hog up the interior with winter's muck...
But I don't. I have a beater truck that sits up high, has all season tyres and 4WD.

Omfg, stopped to put gas and some as$hat decided to jam the little lever stuck. As soon as I hit the octane button, gas goes everywhere. I looked like I did it on purpose.

It was a long haul to get here. I was called today about 2 PM and told that I was clear, background check-wise. I had a resignation letter ready to go and resigned about 15 minutes after the call. I got a very heavy "but, we're a family", "why did you not tell us", "what are we going to do?" thing layed on me for about a half an hour.

What a day. It was sad, happy and then sad again when I got home and realized Daisy was gone.
