I'm a junior MAJ right now. LTC is all but a lock. I've completed my qualifying job, I'm in school right now. I just need to survive the next 3 or 4 years with out stepping on my d!ck and I should make it.

Do you plan to go for O-6 or be happy with O-5? Either way, retirement is not a bad paycheck..

I think I know what you mean. I know a Maj in a position close to yours, only he isn't blue to green... he is enlisted to comissioned.

Enlisted in one service to officer in another will not hurt, but I served 7 yrs as an officer in the AF then went to the Army. I lost out on a lot of career aiding ops and networking. It's not like I started over as a 2LT
