That is crazier than California cops...

Although I have seen it happen...

But that is being petty when they pull you over for that...

Due to budget cuts, i guess the 5 mph over thing being OK is out the window now..

Yes, he was giving me a tough time about a bunch of stuff like the OP.

Just recently our State Police were caught having a ticket writing contest with the other troops, all for a pizza party at the expense of regular citizen.

Haha, i remember reading about that.

It's the same town that operate parking meters on public holidays, they are famous for giving chicken $hit tickets. We have a 5mph buffer built into our laws, so it's not that he could give me a ticket. He just gave me a tough time because he wanted to. He followed me for at least a mile and pulled me over when I was about to leave his jurisdiction. Here are the three things he said why he pulled me over.

#1 Speeding. He said he pulled me over for going 3mph because I shouldn't be going fast towing. Speed limit isn't good enough and he said I was 3mph over anyway.
#2 Squeeky brakes (I have race pads) and he believes my car is not safe.
#3 Mutilated license plate (I had to bend the corner of my plate on the trailer to get it into my garage)

It's bogus. He and I both know it, I was on my way 5 min later

LOL....... That is a good story & thank goodness you didn't get a ticket.

As with employers, or other employees, or other people in Life, I have found that people like that have way more issues in their life than "doing their Job"..

It is Psychology 101. the guy has other troubles in his life...Home life, Envy, hate, and he just takes it out on people because of his Tin badge..

Rather than get mad at them, I just stay the course in life and beat them the old fashion way...Living well and happy is the sweetest revenge..

I love the Police..They are the thin blue line..But not this guy..

So live well and happy brother...Then you win...:tiphat:
