I'm just going to take a shot in the dark here, but I am willing to bet since vzw got the nexus, they won't be close to first in line for the S3.

LOL I forgot about this thread. I ended up getting the Galaxy S2 Skyrocket a few days after I made this thread.

I don't regret it one bit..honestly I don't see how the S3 could be an improvement. I mean I'm sure it will be better, but not in any way that I would notice or care about.

This phone is ******* awesome LOL with AT&T 4G LTE I get speeds of 22mbps which is almost 3 times faster than what I get when connected to my home WiFi.

actually doesnt look that bad although I like those unofficial pics of the more slim sqaure shaped one.

Supposedly it's coming to the US in June, but won't get the quad core processor. It's going to be getting a dual core Snapdragon processor so it can be compatible with 4G. Of course this is info is still not technically official yet.

just saw early reviews/pics/videos, def gonna get this as my upgrade. :tup:

I am a bit yes and no on the S3, put such a high expectation on it but numbers of benchmark results are showing it is even slower than the dual-core CPU :ugh2:

Will wait for couple more reviews before making a decision.

And also have to see how much does it cost when it comes out on the 29th.

Well in the US it will probably end up being $300 with a new 2 year contract, just like every other new phone that comes out. Shouldn't be a problem if you can buy it with a new contract and get the discounted price. Lucky for me, I can upgrade my phone and get the discounted price :tup:

Looks like Canada will be getting the S3 on June 20th. They are getting one with 1.5 GHz dual core snapdragon processor and 2 GB of RAM. No details about a US version yet, but most likely it will be the same as the Canadian one. Samsung's world tour for the S3 will be in NYC on June 20th so maybe that will be the release date for the phone here too.

I gave up on that a while ago. I already have Verizon so no need to switch. Not giving up like 3 weeks before the phone might come out after waiting like 6 months :roflpuke2:

Doesn't mention a release date for Verizon yet, but it will probably be around June 20-21 too. I'm going to pre-order my 16 GB white S3 from Verizon as soon as pre-orders begin at 7 AM on Wednesday morning :woot:

Verizon's website says the same thing as well as a bunch of other articles so it's probably true for the other carriers as well. I can't wait to finally get a new phone after like 2 years.

I wish I could see the blue one in person before I pre-order it. I feel like it's one of those colors you have to see in person to decide whether you love it or hate it. I do love the white though, so I will just order the white and not risk hating the blue color.

That's what I was planning on doing till I read that the Verizon pre-orders might not ship till July 9th. After reading that and finding out that Best Buy started taking pre-orders today (which have an arrival date of June 28th) I immediately left for Best Buy :icon17:

gonna get the 4s today since my contract is ending in august, then im gonna sign a new one and get the s3, hopefully then Ill only pay the 200-300 price of the phone. :tup:

Why not just order the S3 now and renew the contract? The phone is selling for $200 for the 16 GB model and $250 for the 32 GB model.

Sprint has a cancellation fee which isnt pretty.

Yeah for Verizon once you reach your upgrade point, you can buy a new phone with discounted pricing and that will just extend your contract by 2 years from the date you buy the new phone. I could have upgraded my phone in March but wanted to wait for the S3. My actual contract ends in July so I almost waited till the end :icon17:

Along with sprints high fees are the sucky service, which might even cause me to change carriers at the end of august, another reason I wouldn't commit to a S3 right now.
